Some concerns with current version
editThree concerns:
- 1. Discuss on talk page, please, don't revert each other. For the recent restore of a large section on Chabad, I'm curious why the IP says that a source is not needed. Reliable sources are needed to support pretty much everything in WP. Re: Chaim Rapoport
- 2. The section on the abuse case is too long and disproportionate. Doesn't needs such a long block quote. A few sentences paraphrase would suffice.
- 3. There is some wording that tends to pass judgment, positive or negative, in a way that goes beyond WP:NPOV. I may make some sample adjustments. For example: "Rapoport is widely recognised as the only serious Torah scholar to have written comprehensively about homosexuality from an Orthodox perspective." In order to say "widely recognized" and "only serious" -- which seem like a biased POV -- we need reliable sources that assert this.
Hope this is useful and you don't mind my speaking up. HG | Talk 11:23, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
Serious issues in this article
editI'm going to take on addressing some of the issues in this article. I've removed some POV and irrelevant material, but also some pretty hefty BLP contraventions. For anyone not familiar with our policies, WP:BLP is a cornerstone of Wikipedia and we take it very seriously. If material that contravenes BLP is inserted or reinserted, we'll have to look at protecting the page and/or blocking accounts. --Dweller (talk) 12:32, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
