Just a note not to add pics unless you're sure they're of Cerbats. It sucks, but we have to use pictures that are freely licensed and that's why many articles have bad pictures or none at all. White Arabian Filly (Neigh) 00:42, 4 February 2016 (UTC)

Good Article

Yes, I just got done with doing that with one of mine. (They all start out as graded, mostly stub or start, and then are graded upwards to C, B, and so on as they get improved.) See Talk:Bud Dunn (the one I just got to GA) for some of the criteria. You can also see the good article criteria for ideas. One thing I've learned is that you have to be incredibly picky about sources and formatting them off so it shows the page number and ISBN for books, etc, etc. It's hard, but it can be done. I've edited on this one too much to be a GA reviewer for it, but I'd be glad to offer comment and advice -- and ping a good reviewer for you when it's time. (Heck if I help, maybe I can get co-editor credit, I need wikicup points! LOL!) One tip: Photographs taken by federal employees in the course of their federal employment are public domain, so if the BLM has photos clearly identified as from the Cerbat HMA, you can "legally" upload them to commons (sadly, Pinterest posts will probably get deleted, copyright is a bugbear on Wikipedia, I get why, but it's still a bugbear!) I made a couple of edits to toss material that is incorrect. Just had a long debate over origins of Mustangs generally at the Mustang article (it's still a drama, actually) but one thing we agree on is that researchers have disproven the theory that any modern horses in the southwest descend from those of Coronado. I also removed the material on transferrin, as discussed below. I do think there's a lot more material that can be added to this article, but let's stick to reliable sources. Source parking

We don't need multiple sources to verify a single fact, and some cites didn't verify what the article claimed, so where that happened, I tossed the material or kept the best one and am parking the others here in case they are handy for something else. The material on transferrin failed verification; transferrin is defined here. It is not something rare or unique. Cothran may have a study saying these horses have something different about their transferrin, but I haven't found it yet. Montanabw^(talk) 08:57, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

These are often good sources for a general overview, though sometimes they have errors and should not be viewed as gospel.
