Silly proposal that the article is "uncontroversially a deletion candidate" edit

This article was created from its equivalent in the French wikipedia. The most straightforward google books search shows that this topic is about a notable research organization. The way to ask for the addition of some of those 3400 references that testify of its notability, is by adding the {{notability}} template, not a prod. This is a misuse of the prod process that wastes other editors' time.--Sum (talk) 12:10, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Well, the article seems to clearly fail WP:NORG. That researchers who work there get cited does not mean that their home institution is notable, since notability is not inherited. I do not see any in-depth coverage of this institution or its significance (not counting any self-published stuff on its homepage). As such, the best compromise outside outright AfD is a merger to presumably parent institution, Grenoble Alpes University. Would you be fine with that, User:SummerWithMorons? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:09, 14 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
From what I read on the French page, the center disappeared in 2015 as a result of a merger with another lab. I believe it is "uncontroversially a deletion candidate" after all. --P baldwin89 (talk) 20:00, 24 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
A better target for the 2016 merge proposal would probably be Gilbert Durand given that the only reference relates to him as founder. The whole-university page is probably too broad for this now-defunct centre. Klbrain (talk) 14:41, 23 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
