Fair use rationale for Image:Ph seal cebu.png edit

Image:Ph seal cebu.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Updated Census Data edit

I found some updated census data. We could keep the 2000 results to show growth. Either way we should update. It is contradictory to show Cebu provence as having a lower population than Cebu Metro area Andrew Powell (talk) 22:31, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Updated census data is avaliable for all localities in the Philippines via National Statistics Office website, but the Tambayan Philippines community is still deciding on how best to update the figures of all locality articles (about 1,800 in all) (and also retain 2000 census info) in an orderly manner. --seav (talk) 02:25, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
As for Cebu province vs. Metro Cebu, it should be noted that Cebu City, Mandaue City, and Lapu-Lapu City, all part of Metro Cebu, are designated as highly urbanized cities and are therefore outside the jurisdiction of the Cebu provincial government. So it's not impossible that Cebu province's population (excluding those three cities) is smaller than Metro Cebu's. --seav (talk) 02:28, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

History of Central Visayas edit

Can you please add a section telling the history of Central Visayas? I need it now for an important use. Thank you. JohnGabriel12 (talk) 09:34, 4 November 2011 (UTC)JohnGabriel12Reply

Infobox edit

The infobox for this region should be the standard {{Infobox Philippine region}} instead of {{Infobox settlement}}. This is the infobox used for all regions in order to create uniformity and consistency. -- P 1 9 9   17:48, 2 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Boholano is not a language, it's a dialect of Cebuano. I doubt whether Porohanon is a true language either, and the whole of Camotes islands are only about 100,000 population altogether. Bantayanon is mostly Cebuano, but with underlying strata of Hiligaynon and Waray. – Not Samuel Pepys (talk) 09:09, 12 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
Boholano is a dialect of Cebuano. I agree. Sheanobeano (talk) 07:01, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
