Talk:Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha

Archive 1: Non credible, outside mainstream work I believe I have shortened this down enough to put it back on the main page. I removed everything that didn't make any sense, didn't seem to fit with the topic, was redundent, or not NPOV. Much of this page makes no sense without the context of the original page, so we should work to get it merged. I tried to keep the spirit of the original work, but if the author ever does return to the scene of the crime, he may want to add back in a revised version of some of what I removed. Some of it seemed like it might be salvagable, but I didn't know where to begin. --captainManacles

I have nominated this article for deletion although I can't create that page. The reason is because this article blatantly violates WP:NPOV, WP:V and WP:NOR. There is no credible mainstream scientific view either.59.92.56.83 04:59, 14 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

These researches in Ayurveda have been done in the India. The Ayurveda science is belongs to India, so Westerners can not understand the soul of Ayurveda. There is many research programmes are being conducted in the best research centers in India about Ayurveda. Even recently Bhabha Atomic Energy Center, Bombay, India conducted research on TRIPHALA, which is an Ayurvedic medicines used since centuries, concluding that the medicine is well effective in diminishing of the cancer cells.

Ok, we'll let those claims stand for now, in the hope that it can be referenced in the future. I'm removing the whole bit on Electro-Tridosha-Graph. It's obvious that it's original research (see WP:NOR). A google search gives 5 results (violates WP:V), and the guy who claims to have invented it also added it to this article59.92.39.252 08:36, 16 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Removal of Electro-tridosha-graphy technology information edit

Why the information regarding the Electro-tridosha-graphy [1] is removed from the Research and Innovation page. The fact is that this is a high level technology, which is quantify the status of the Ayurvedic principles, which are round about over two hundred. By radial pulse examination the Tridohsa is very difficult to assess and can not be measured the persistence inside the body. Apart from the Tridosha, the technology quantify the Tridosha bhed, Sapta Dhatu, Malas, Oajas,Agni, Prakrati and many more. It also diagnose the diseases and a very cheap alternative of the whole body scanning.

The technologies are always useful for the entire world and for the sick huminity. The sick huminity will be after all take the benefits of the technology for hunderd thousands years to come in future.

If you would like to add this back into the article, what is required are sourced edits (everything must be cited from reliable newspapers, newspaper websites and/or peer-reviewed journals per WP:Reliable Sources). Look at the Triphala section, for instance, and how I cited newspapers and even a medical journal that PROVES that Triphala works. If you can do that for ETG, then great.Hkelkar 22:30, 20 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • kindly brows the Ayurveda page section "Parial bibliography", in which the references of the news magazines and news paper is given. The newspaper and magazines have published the articles about ETG in Hindi Language. When new page of research and innovation is formed, before that the new page was with the main Ayurveda page and the ETG technology was on the main page for many months. The references are given at that time.

These sources given are not credible and fail verifiability. (See WP:V). Further, Electro-tridosha-graphy is non-notable and not practised in hospitals. It also has no scientific standing, and has not been indepentely verified. It is also clearly original research (see WP:NOR). Please see Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Electro-tridosha-graphy 59.92.82.53 09:08, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I tend to agree. Notble refs need to be provided like I did on Triphala.Hkelkar 16:03, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I doubt that notable and credible refs can be provided like the ones for triphala. I think that ETG is original research and should be removed on sight.59.92.53.159

Are you think that all the research work should be done in USA and western countries? The research work in relation to Ayurveda will be in India and where you expect for. Are you like that Ayurveda research work should be performed in any foreign land? The Electro-tridosha-graphy technology is purely Indian and Invented by an Indian Ayurvedic Physician Dr. Desh Bandhu Bajpai,MD, Cardiologist of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. The fact about the ETG research should be accepted by all. Unfortunetly westerners fail to understand the calibers of the Indians and they can not able to digest the research work, which was erliest think to be impossible. The Impossible is possible now. For your information, the Electro-tridosha-graphy Technology is undertaken by the Indian Government's proper agencies related to the development of the Ayurveda. If you accept it, well and good, if you discard it, you are lossing valuable information. It dose not matter whether the information about ETG will be existed on the Ayurveda pages or not. It is upto the learned editors. Regarding information removal from the main pages, the importancy of the Electrotridoshagraphy, will not minimises and will be always in better and greater position.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'll say it again. The bit on Electro-tridosha-graphy technology is original research, and must be excluded by wikipedia policy(WP:NOR). There is no credible or notable source (WP:RS) for Electro-tridosha-graphy technology and it has no scientific standing whatsoever. Please do not include this so called "technology" as it is against policy.59.92.47.124 14:36, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

POV issues edit

Many POV issues need to be addressed:

From Memory Enhancement: "Some of the plants commonly used in Ayurveda have been shown to potentially combat certain ailments in double-blind clinical studies [citation needed]. One such study discovered that some of the plants commonly used in ayurvedic medicine prevent the breakdown of neurotransmitters, improving memory and concentration in people with Alzheimer's disease.[3]. "
How in the world is the latter a double-blinded RCT?
Laboratory Test for Ayurvedic Medicine Diagnosis is completely uncited
Kshar Sutra Method of Therapy "It is a complete therapy for a fistula-in-ano patient"
This is cited by reference 6, from the manufacturer of the product, a highly inappropriate reference.
Triphala: "is now emerging as one of the most potent anticancer agents." Simply not true

-- Samir धर्म 23:32, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

There are also enormous credibility issues, and unverified material. Citation from an ayurveda site is NOT credible as per WP policies. f any scientific claim is to be added, please use a credible source (such as a peer reviewed scientific journal. Not from internet ayurveda sites). Also, please ensure that the research or innovation has undergone clinical trials, or some method of controlled testing. We do not include every emerging claim in wikipeda. On the plus side, I think the triphala bit is fairly well done 59.92.74.4 15:42, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

A major para was copied from [[2]]. This has been removed as per WP policies 59.92.74.4 15:47, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please read wikipedia policies ou claim to uphold so religiously. It was not an exact copy.Hkelkar 20:17, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Electro-tridosha-gram: Research and Development at CRIA Hospital edit

Research and development of the Electrotridoshagraphy [ETG] technology is undertaken by the Central Research Institute of Ayurveda Hospital, Punjabi bagh, New Delhi, India. A separate Department for ETG technology is established. More information can be obtained by the Director or Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha, Janakpuri Head Quarter, New Delhi, India.user:debbe, 03 March 2007, Holi Festival, 05:45 UTC

  • The article Electrotridoshgraphy was removed by the so called international top levels group of the editors of the wikipedia, who perhaps donot know about the .001 percent regarding this technology. I will call it foolishness of the editors. The article should be re-instate about this technique for information. user:debbe, 30 April 2007, 01:35 PM IST

It is highly objectionable that in this page and not only on this page , I have seen in so many pages that redline linkers are creating vulgarity for valgarity, mischive for mischief, criticism for criticism, negativity for negativity etc. Their identities are doubtful and what are their motives for hiding thmselves, is not understandable. these people are enemy for the rightness and their intellectual capacity is also doubtful. If they want to say something, they should have courage to say with their blue color identity. I will appeal to the administrators of Wikipedia that hey should do some hard steps against these persons.user:debbe, 03 March 2007,
