There's no mention of the criticisms of the organization that contend that despite its "non-partisan" label, its staff is generally aligned with the political left, and is basically critical of any new military weapons system. They remind me of various "defense reformers" of the late 1970's that wanted to abolish the F-15 and F-16 fighters, and replace them with far less capable F-5's. DesScorp 03:37, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

- The Wikipedia page for the World Security Institute says it became extinct in 2012. On this bases, I just deleted the line ending the introduction. On 24 August 2013, it read, "The Center for Defense Information now exists in a research capacity as a component of the larger World Security Institute." That may have been true when written but no longer seems to be the case. DavidMCEddy (talk) 16:31, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
Disputed edit
This article contains both (1) factually wrong information, and (2) outdated material.
An example of the factually wrong information is the date of which the Center for Defense Information (DCI) was founded. According to the about page to Straus Military Reform Project the, CDI was founded in 1971 and not in 1972.[1]
Not mentioning the nonfunctional referenced sources on the CDI's original Wikipedia page, an example of the outdated information is that the CDI is no longer operating as part of the World Security Institute because the World Security institute was closed in 2012,[2] and the CDI has merged into POGO in 2012.[3]
Looking at the overall current content of the CDI article, the information does not provide an accurate description of the Center for Defense Information.

Appears to Have Merged with POGO edit
No, not the stick. According to a statement on the Project on Government Accountability's website, it seems that CDI is no longer an independent entity. [1]. The statement is somewhat ambiguous, but I have updated the page to reflect that. I will, of course, defer to people who have better sources, or a better knowledge of the situation.
