NPOV issues

I'm concerned that parts of this article read somewhat like advertising/PR for Cenikor. I tried revising the initial paragraph to be more clear and straightforward, and less advertise-y, but am still looking for additional secondary sources to support an overall description of the organization. I also added a "2010s" section to "History" to add information about the recent labor abuse investigation. However, I feel like the other "History" subsections could use some revisiting (maybe revised into one overall history section with fewer promotional-sounding details?) Agreed, they’ve gotten negative press for decades including a major piece published by Reveal/Al-Jazeera within the last week www.revealnews.org/article/they-worked-in-sweltering-heat-for-exxon-shell-and-walmart-they-didnt-get-paid-a-dime/ but that is entirely unreflected here. Looking at the current page one would be forgiven for thinking that Cenikor was not a controversial organization and has a stellar record of safety and regulatory compliance (neither is even close to true).

Definitely. I've started re-working the 1960s and 1970s history sections (looks like there's plenty of controversial/colorful early history, briefly covered in Claire D. Clark's Recovery Revolution that was previously left out) and added the recent investigation to the new 2010s section. I wasn't familiar with Cenikor until recently, so if you have any recommendations for sources on past controversies that should be covered here, that would be really helpful. --Certainstars (talk) 20:17, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

Article severely understates the cruelty of this organization

This is another institution that’s descended from the manipulative practices of Synanon. I heard of this from NPR and my brain immediately jumped to Synanon. I know it says it’s faced “allegations” of mistreatment, but overall the article should be much more critical of the institution, otherwise people may skim over this article thinking that it’s not as bad as it is.
