Talk:Cazadero Performing Arts Camp

Hello fellow Wikipedians, I plan to organize the page, add sections, and cite more sources. I will add more information about the guest conductors, more information about Bob Lutt, and add pictures.Trixie07 (talk) 18:16, 29 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello Trixie07, thank you for your input on this article. The camp is definitely notable, but links to people's biographies on university pages don't really count as reliable sources, or the website of the camp itself (since that contravenes WP:RS requirements of being independent of the subject), so if you can find alternatives that would be better. You can upload pictures, but please note that under US copyright laws the photos cannot be ones found on the internet via Google, as they probably belong to a news agency or professional photographer – either you would need to get permission from the owner to upload them to Wikipedia, or you will need to take your own pictures. And I would advise that you don't have more than two or three photos in the whole article: a couple of pictures are always welcome to embellish the article, but it shouldn't become an entire photo gallery of everything that happens in the camp. I'd say maybe a picture of the entrance or main building for the infobox, a photo of Bob Lutt if you have permission to use it, and maybe one other of the grounds or an activity.
