the page url should use the normal short-hyphen, this aids readibility of links, which in turn aids in making links into wikipedia from outside, particularly. also some might consider the short hyphen more gramatically correct for a range of numbers or dates, so there is no real excuse for making things difficult, although it appears to be common practice here, eg i cannot fix this, since i have not registered for an account, nor will i, since i am not a practitioner of the make-things-difficult art. soz. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.101.157.18 (talk) 02:45, 1 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
No, the title of the article should use a single en-dash between the years, per MOS:DATERANGE. The Manual of Style is quite clear about en-dashes vs. hyphens in number ranges, whether they are in links or not. Regarding aiding makings from the outside, the link Catherine of Cleves (1417-1479) uses a hyphen and redirects to this article.
