Objection against proposed deletion

edit

I hereby object against the proposed deletion. Michelin stars are indeed givcn to the restaurant, but only because the chef cooks at a high level. If a chef leaves, a restaurant normally losses its stars. So the fact that the star is awarded to the restaurant is perhaps technically true, but it is the chef that earns the stars for the restaurant. She for an example Parkheuvel, that lost two of its three stars after their chef left. Night of the Big Wind talk 17:08, 20 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

The nomination is also contrary to the first provided source, which names her specifically: Irish Independent. Night of the Big Wind talk 19:31, 20 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
An HighBeam subscription is already requested. More then likely, it will unearth more sources like this one, that is now unreadable for me. Night of the Big Wind talk 20:47, 20 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

All this article needs is more context as it barely meets stub classification. The sources are only tiny references to, but it does establish a connection between the award and the governing body who recognized her efforts. Digging up those sources are difficult, but given gap in time it may be difficult to further source. I'd say keep, but just note the lack of context doesn't mean a lack of notability. After all it is a recognized award and she ran the restaurant meaning the award was largely because of her. "Michelin also recognised[sic] the originality of the woman who may have been Ireland's greatest female chef. Catherine Healy of Dunderry Lodge, in Co Meath, ran a gem of a restaurant sited in old farm outbuildings and situated in the middle of absolutely nowhere."
