Was the runner-up on the latest season of Survivor. This has been enough to justify keeping similar articles.

Importance or significance edit

I am really just learning all the ins and outs of article criteria, but, with all due respect to Cassandra Franklin, she really isn't important or significant, even within the context of competing in a nationally-televised reality show. Yau-Man and Dreamz distinguished themselves on the show, whether that be in a positive or negative way, but they were significant in that had an impact on the game and the viewers. If all she has going is the fact that she was a runner-up in Survivor:Fiji, that is not enough for an article unto itself. Makes for a short article, too.

Even so, I think coming in second on Survivor is still an assertion of notability, and that this certainly isn't a speedy candidate. --Maxamegalon2000 13:20, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
There have been a couple of attempts to AFD the runner-ups. None have succeeded. Quite a few people disagree that they are notable enough to keep, but for now there does not appear to be enough will to remove them. A couple of old relevant AFD discussions: here and here. - TexasAndroid 18:48, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Looking a little further at the Twila mass-AFD, there appear to have been a number of successful individual AFDs since then: Kim Johnson, Osten Taylor, Lillian Morris, Jennifer Lyon, Gregg Carey, and Caryn Groedel. So this definitely shows that the less notable Survivor contestants can indeed be successfully AFDed. - TexasAndroid 18:54, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I believe because she was a runner up, that is indeed sucess and notable in itself. However this article should be expanded. The Stacy one should be deleted however Small5th 03:13, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
