The topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's notability guideline for academics. (March 2011)
Obits placed in the journal "Hippocampus" and as well by The Society for Neuroscience both declare that Dr. Vanderwolf made significant contributions. From The Society for Neuroscience "He left a lasting scientific impact in the field of study of the relation of electrical activity in the hippocampus and neocortex to behavior."
