Peer Review edit

Hey Katie,

I have included my answers to the questions below. Overall nice job!

1.   First, what does the article do well? Is there anything from your review that impressed you? Any turn of phrase that described the subject in a clear way?

The second paragraph of the introduction gave a good background of the species and conveyed its importance.

2.   What changes would you suggest the author apply to the article? Why would those changes be an improvement?

There are a lot of instances where the family and genus of the species are not properly formatted. The first letter of the family should be capitalized, and both the family and the species should be italicized.

3.   What's the most important thing the author could do to improve the article?

At the beginning of the introduction the family and genus should be properly formatted and completely spelled out, as this is the first thing the reader encounters regarding your species. Also, at least name your specific species in the introduction, as you are introducing your species to the reader.

4.   Did you notice anything about the article you reviewed that could be applicable to your own article? Let them know!

In my article, I could talk about the preferred pH of the soil my species resides in, which you included in your article.

5.     Copy and paste the article including references into Word and determine the number of words in the article, do they meet the criteria (at least 1200 words).

Yes, there are 1,424 new words.
