Wiki Education assignment: Global LGBTQ Rights and Representation

edit

This article was the subject of a Wiki Education Foundation-supported course assignment, between 11 January 2022 and 29 April 2022. Further details are available on the course page. Student editor(s): Gracekmeyers (article contribs). Peer reviewers: Roxlindy.

Cool. Best of luck to Gracekmeyers! I mean, the page could definitely use some edits and improvements, or even suggestions for improvements, as a person who created the page back in December 2020. After all, for newcomers we should assume good faith and respond to problematic edits in a clear and polite manner, per WP:BITE, although not everyone does that. --Historyday01 (talk) 21:01, 4 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Proposed split

makes clear the page size. According to prosesize, the page is 33 kB of readable prosesize. However, the above lists 123.5 kB (123,520 bytes), in line with what XTools says. As such, it clearly surpasses what WP:SIZESPLIT says. And considering that I do 85% of the edits on the page, with @User:Evedawn99 and and @User:Gracekmeyers as the only editors with usernames, putting aside the various IP addresses who have edited the page (75.117.199.245, 173.187.191.85, 173.186.194.64, 173.188.29.196, 173.187.91.65, 98.19.248.94, 98.22.45.203), along with a few others, I'd say it makes sense for me to propose this split. Considering that the 2010s and 2020s sections are the largest, my thinking was that each of them could be split into their own articles, as that would bring down the page size to approximately 38.3 kB (38,370 bytes), falling under the "Length alone does not justify division" section. The 2010s section, once its own article, could be split into sub-sections entitled "Adventure Time", "Steven Universe", "OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes", and "Other series". The 2020s section, once its own article, could be split into sub-sections entitled "Adventure Time: Distant Lands", "Final Space", "Currently airing series" (already a section in this article), and "Other series". Thoughts? --Historyday01 (talk) 02:26, 2 May 2022 (UTC) (I originally posted this on April 28)Reply

Great! When I have time, I'll try to do a split... Historyday01 (talk) 01:55, 15 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
