Ship route

edit

I'm going to remove the info on her route, as that can change and to me does not appear important. Splamo 02:07, 30 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

it is important what are the countries this ship travels to? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.192.10.50 (talkcontribs) 20:01, October 29, 2008

That will vary constantly, depending on current itinerary, time of year, business needs, consumer demand, etc. The best way to learn is to follow the link in the article to the official site for the ship on Carnival's website. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 20:06, 29 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
And it's not just Carnival Destiny, there are other ships that change its routes too, including Oasis of the Seas. From what I recall I was on a Carnival Destiny ship, starting and ending in San Juan, Puerto Rico and went to St. Thomas, Martinique, Barbados and Aruba. From what I hear, Destiny now leaves from Miami. My conclusion is that it is unnecessary to include cruise destinations on Wikipedia articles. Propulsion system

edit

The propulsion system description is inaccurate. The six thrusters mentioned are the ones used for port navigation and docking, not the main propulsion system which consists of two shaft-mounted propellers in the aft section. The way it is written sounds like it used "azipods" which are only found in the Sprit class and two of the Fantasy class ships.

Deck levels

edit

I noticed that in the box containing the ship's information is incorrect, it has 13 decks, not 12. It has deck zero, riviera, main, lobby, atlantic, promenade, upper, empress, verandah, lido, spa, sun, and sky. Deck zero is where the employees stay, and where passengers embark and disembark. A map can be found at http://www.carnival.com/cruise-ships/carnival-destiny.aspx but note deck zero isn't listed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Emilyevan8 (talkcontribs) 04:13, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
