Highly unlikely edit

"In June 1997, the school was closed mainly owing to diminishing pupil numbers and financial difficulties, having been seriously affected by the termination of government assisted places by the Labour government" -

'seriously affected' to that extent within a couple of weeks of the Labour government coming in? Hardly.

Are these really notable? edit

From the end of the article:

At the time the school closed, the headmaster was Philip Skelker, head boy Toby Tenenbaum and head girl Lyna Tahan.

I suppose the head might be notable, if he's done anything other than being head, but I can't for the life of me see why the head boy and girl are. I intend to remove this line unless someone objects. Loganberry (Talk) 00:49, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

What harm is there in including this information? Another point is the omission of Mongewell House. It should be added. Philip Skelker was also a teacher at Eton and is now headmaster of Immanuel College in Bushey. What about a section on famous old Carmellis - including Philip Green? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scampben (talkcontribs) 14:47, 4 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Dambusters edit

I've removed this from the article.

It was also the site for the briefing for the "bouncing bombs" raids of Operation Chastise.[1] - which left from nearby RAF Benson.

The raid itself was from RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire. There is a mention of RAF Benson in the Operation Chastise article in connection with photo-reconnaissance to assess the damage to the dams. If someone has access to the reference given there, Falconer, Jonathan and Chris Staerck. Allied Photo Reconnaissance of World War II. London: PRC Publishing Ltd., 1998. ISBN 1-57145-161-7 , they could check if there is a mention of the college.Cavrdg (talk) 12:40, 9 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

"Left at 07:30 to be there by first light"? What, using a time machine so he could fly backwards in time?

It is not even byworded, believe it or not. 2A00:23C7:9C97:5D01:9986:6CB0:6037:749 (talk) 18:25, 23 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
