This statement should be removed completely: "Additional controversy was generated over the referee's anullment of a goal by Colombia against Brazil on an apparently questionable off sides call, which disqualified the goal scored by Colombian team captain Mario Yepes, which if allowed would have sent the game into overtime to break the tie."
It is opinion and not controversial as the FIFA rules clearly indicate that the call in question was a correct decision.
Also, the call in question occurred in the 65th minute of the match and the sideline referee indicated offside before the ball was in the net.
