Does anyone know if Carlos is in fact the first Mexican born driver to drive in ANY NASCAR major division? and if not who is? -Drdisque 19:33, 25 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
I was introduced to him in the garage (FitzBradshaw) at Lowe's Motor Speedway on October 12th, 2006 and that was how he was billed.
He was not the first Mexican born driver to compete in NASCAR. Pedro Rodriguez competed in the NASCAR Grand National Series as far back as 1959. I am not 100% sure he was the first, but he definitely preceded Carlos Contreras. — Preceding unsigned comment added by T. R. Maynard (talk • contribs) 00:19, 24 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
