Was Carlo Acutis an Italian or British?
editWas Carlo of Italian or British nationality or of both nationalities?
A person can have two nationalities.Rafaelosornio (talk) 20:45, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
- Rafaelosornio, He was born in England to Italian parents. It depends on what the citizenship laws of the United Kingdom are. Elizium23 (talk) 20:52, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
- At the time of his birth, EU citizens were treated as having settled status which meant that he would have had British nationality by his birth in the UK. The C of E God Save the King! (talk) 15:16, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
Patronage
editHis patronage is unsourced. The Cardinal Newman Society citation has no link, and I could not search it on their website. I will be removing unsourced patronages. Elizium23 (talk) 00:14, 11 October 2020 (UTC)

Laptop as attribute?
editTop of the attributes in the infox of this article is a Laptop. By what stretch can this be described as a specific Christian symbol? In fact, we do not know whether Acutis used one or a desktop. Either way, it should be removed since hardware is also and more generally used for other less uplifting purposes.--Po Mieczu (talk) 23:06, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
- Po Mieczu, agreed -- removed. Elizium23 (talk) 11:43, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
- The Apostle Paul holds a sword as his primary attribute, which is a weapon. Swords also can be used for “less uplifting purposes” but this doesn’t discount the sense of the Christian faithful. Maximilian775 (talk) 23:39, 3 February 2023 (UTC) Maximilian775 (talk) 23:39, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
Photos of Carlo
editI've noticed that there have been people posting photos of Carlo, only to be removed by another user. Unless you have personally taken said photographs yourself, have permission from the photographer, or it's from a group like the Associated Press that allows the photo to be used in such a manner, the files will be subject to deletion. If you need specifics or a refresher on the rules, please read Commons:Licensing.

Is he officially a Saint yet?
editSomeone edited his title to saint, probably because of the recent recognition of his second miracle, but that doesn't automatically make him canonized, right?
As of today, May 25, 2024, I would permit references to sainthood but would not allow a change in title until canonization. Source: https://www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/news/2024-05/pope-francis-saints-decrees-miracle-acutis-allamano.html
Sources
editThere is a great deal on this article that cites only one source, a book published by Sophia Institute Press. This is a "conservative Catholic publishing company". Some of the more remarkable claims made in this article, supported only by this book, could really do with a cite from a more impartial source. There is also a suspicion that many of the claims made in the article have taken single events reported in the book, and turned them into frequent habits. Escape Orbit (Talk) 07:31, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
