After the abolition of cross-border municipalities, and the transfer of Merafong City Local Municipality to the North West, which includes Carletonville, the article probably needs to be moved to Carletonville, North West. 168.209.98.35 18:30, 25 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

For completeness, it should be noted that the Sixteenth Amendment to the Constitution transferred Merafong City back to Gauteng, so the proposed move would no longer be necessary - htonl (talk) 12:58, 2 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
