American "Footballers" -- change to "football players"

edit

In America, professional football players (NFL) are not referred to as "footballers." They are simply "football players." "Footballers" is never used in any context. Two players in the NFL are listed as such -- the moderator ought to change them to "football players." Joeletaylor (talk) 03:29, 11 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Requested to provide stronger password, then being blocked

edit

Some weeks ago, when logging in to W as Patrick FitzGerald, my sole user name, I was requested to update my password to a stronger one- which I did. Today I wanted to make a minor edit to the Carey (surname) page, but at first used my old password by mistake, was denied, and which I then corrected and was logged in. I made the edit and logged out. When I tried to log in again I was informed that I had been blocked for 5 months by a chap under an SD number. However, I clearly managed to log in again with my saved new password, as I am writing this. Patrick FitzGerald (talk) 11:08, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

I had problems today re editing the Carey (surname) page. My minor edit didn't appear on the page after I logged out. When I logged in a message in pink briefly flashed up re issues of hacking/a hacker. Then it went straight on to the edit format ok. SobI made the edit. As I said, once logged out the edit didn't appear on the page. My password was requested by the managers to be strengthened in February, presumably because of a similar hacking problem (?) - I don't know, which I did. Not sure what is going on on your end, but I am seeing your edit. Agricolae (talk) 12:19, 13 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
