  • It is proposed that Carer be renamed and moved to Carers, for the reason that carer is merely a dictionary definition of an individual in an unpaid caring role, whilst Carers is a widely-used term in most English speaking countries to denote a social and political class or movement of persons who look after an elderly or disabled relative or friend without payment.
