"Lick" being a single

A source has been provided on the article for "Lick" being a ugly woman, however it has been removed by @1Sire: who claims the song needs to be serviced to radio and/or stated by Cardi B herself to be a single, neither of which is required by Wikipedia policy (several users cite WP:SINGLE?, but this is an essay). Vice's "Noisey" page calls it a single here, saying "the one notable feature on GBM Vol. 2 is an uncredited Offset, and Cardi B's label, capitalizing on the news, is pushing it today as the single". Vibe calls it a single in their article here, calling it "a single from Gangsta Bitch Vol. 2". Uproxx calls it a single here, reporting on its music video coming out "a couple months after it was officially pushed out as a single". Less reliable sources, but the blog-that-has-a-team-working-for-it (and therefore doesn't seem to meet the criteria of disallowable blogs per WP:RS) Highsnobiety calls it a "trap-flavored single" here, and even the song's Genius page says "the single was teased...". So, what do others think: is it a single? Ss112 02:00, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

Comment while WP:SINGLE? isn't a policy or even a guideline, it is true that singles always have some form of commercial release, whether it is through a radio premiere, digital download, or maybe even through streaming services like Spotify/Apple Music. If none of these occurred, then my instinct says the references linked above misused the term "single". Snuggums (talk / edits) 03:58, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
I wouldn't be reverting your edits if what he mentioned wasn't the case, it's how all singles are usually referenced, any website can call a song a single, I edit Wikipedia the same reason you do, to provide the right information I don't want to have a "delayed edit war with you". Cardi B obviously doesn't need to state on her Twitter "this is a single". She could've easily promoted it as such in a interview but never has. "Lick" was released before she signed to Atlantic so I doubt they're pushing it as a single and if they have that means they would've at least released it to radio, and all songs that impact urban and rhythmic radio are public information. It may be just an opinion but it's an educated one. Look through the page history I wrote 99% of this article, if it's a single that's not a problem, the problem is the reference you provided. At best it's a promotional single. 1Sire (talk) 08:44, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
You haven't pointed out why the references I provided are a problem, and nor have you provided any source for your opinion that the song is not a single. It's irrelevant who wrote "99% of the article"; it doesn't make your opinion more valid than publications calling a song a single @1Sire:. Also, do not personally attack other users, as you did here. There is absolutely no reason for comments like that, and that was because I reverted your edits. Ss112 13:56, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

Trying to get this to GA status

Going through a bunch of edits on this today to try to get this to Good Article status and so if I seem excessive with the meta-queries, that's why. (I copyedit for a living, so please give me the benefit of the doubt.) Also here is some of what I'd love to get help on:

  • In the intro paragraph, it says "she first received public attention as an exotic dancer". Then it describes how she gained fame via Instagram. This implies that she was a noted stripper before Instagram fame. Is this true?
  • I started on the Television career section when it was very dry and added detail. If anyone else wants to add something in the first or final paragraphs of this section please do.
  • "Musical style" under Artistry could use an intro sentence.

A21sauce (talk) 22:16, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

Comment: Additionally these two sentences are not clear at all, if someone could clarify them:
  • And coupled with her "no filter attitude," through Instagram → what?
  • She has also stepped out to support Colin Kaepernick at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. → OK. But for which reason she did that? Why does Kaepernick need support? カビル (talk) 08:59, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

Remove the paragraph about her being of 'Christian faith' under 'Personal life'. I have watched many videos concerning Cardi B and interviews with her. She never expressly states any of the things mentioned in that paragraph. Also, the sources indicated provide no 'UNAMBIGUOUS' affirmation of this faith. Please fix this.   Not done for now: In as much I inclined to believe, the sources given are verifiable I watched the video and she indeed said what is claimed now, I don't know why you claim it is not "unambiguous". But the more important thing here is you didn't provide any reliable sources to support the change you want make. The fact that you watched many video is as useless as for me to say she is so and so. Semi-protected edit request April 8 2018, Racist unfactual source

The article states "Spanish is her first language and she says that while she does not speak English well, she understands it."

That is super racist, and not at all what the source says.

The source ( https://i-d.vice.com/en_us/article/vbpe33/cardi-b-interview-2018 ) says: She’s super-smart, bitingly funny, sharp as a tack. We talk about her triple major at — French, western civilization and American politics. “I thought I could be a history teacher one day, but what turned me off was when they told me what you get paid. I didn’t like that,” she decides, offering an arched eyebrow. “And you know what else? A teacher also told me my English is not that good. She told me, ‘You need to speak a certain way.’” Cardi doesn’t speak a certain way, a quick glance at her Instagram can tell you that: she’s more Rosie Perez than Rosie Perez, a round-the-way homegirl snapping gum and drilling her boogie-down Bronx accent into its most intense recesses. “They said the same when I got famous. But I feel like I speak English properly,” she continues, her lips pursing. “I know what’s going on. I understand what’s happening on CNN. A lot of people don’t understand, but I understand.”

Change the sentence there to "Spanish is her first language."

The teacher telling her her English is not that good is not saying she speaks bad English, it's saying she speaks like she's from the hood and not "proper English". Not the same, and also very racist.

Amish super market

During her teenage years, Cardi B was employed at an Amish supermarket in Lower Manhattan "for 6 monthes..." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.221.177.34 (talk) 20:27, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

The link to the Wikipedia article about Amish people is misleading and incorrect in this context. “Amish Market” is a local chain of grocery stores in New York City. The owners are not Amish, they are originally from Turkey. The stores are not Amish and the link to the Wikipedia article on the Amish people implies that Cardi B worked in a store that was run by Amish people and/or was for Amish customers. See this article in the New York Sun about Amish Markets and the Amish Fine Food Company for details: https://www.nysun.com/real-estate/amish-markets-spread-as-owners-plan-13-more-stores/63031 The article states: “Like Mr. Eren, the other two owners are from Turkey. The chain's name comes from the original store, Amish Farmers Market, which bought all of its produce from Amish farms in Pennsylvania, Mr. Eren said. Eventually the store, which was founded in 1991, expanded and began offering different products, but the name stuck. The stores still carry many products from Amish sellers in Lancaster, Pa., Mr. Eren said.” Elkaybklyn (talk) 18:29, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Done Thanks for pointing that out! Cheers, -- irn (talk) 18:42, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Public Image

Cardi B identifies as a feminist.[91][92] Cardi B, has pubically embraced being a feminist and also calls for a reframing of feminism since she says it has been embedded in elitism [1] In November 2016, she explains why she is a feminist and how often she's been dismissed due to racist and elitist beliefs on her instagram video she says, "If you believe in equal rights for women, that makes you a feminist. I don’t understand how you bitches feel like being a feminist is a woman that have a education, that have a degree. That is not being a feminist. You discouraging a certain type of woman, that certainly doesn’t make you one," [2]. Cardi B often has to defend her feminism because it is not the same flavor of white feminism/girl power artists such as Taylor Swift and Katy Perry displays, Cardi B often takes stances on sex workers' rights, poverty, poor schooling in urban communities, and racist beauty standards, and often times it is on her instagram platform to her thousands of followers. The New York Times wrote "on Love & Hip Hop: New York some viewers saw her as a hero of female empowerment, as she made pronouncements like'Ever since I started using guys, I feel so much better about myself. I feel so damn powerful.'"[93] When commenting on her rise to stardom The Fader wrote "one video in particular tipped her popularity over the edge. It was a 13-second clip that doubles as a neat précis of her ethos: 'People be asking me, 'What do you does? Are you a model? Are you, like, a comedian or something?' Nah, I ain't none of that. I'm a hoe. I'm a stripper hoe. I'm about this shmoney.'"[20][94] Cardi B was a member of the Bloods, and has said she became a gang member at the age of 16.[15][16] However, she since has stated that she would not encourage joining a gang.[95] Cardi B has been called "unabashedly, directly political" (GQ)[95] and often uses her social media to advocate for causes she believes in, such as gun control.[96]

The lyrics are often overtly explicit and graphic, sometimes to the point of being comical or offensive. Historically, dirty rap often contained a distinctly bass-driven sound, which arose from the popular Miami bass rap scene. However, dirty rap has recently been heavily influenced by Baltimore club, Ghetto house, and ghettotech. Many dirty rap songs have been used as soundtracks to pornographic movies in the 2000s, replacing the traditional porn groove. She has a child named Kulture

I would change the controversy section because there is more to the story than is listed there. Cardi B also said that Nicki Minaj was telling other famous artists she wouldn't work with them if they decided to work with Cardi B. Cardi B said she heard about that a while ago and tried to be mature and let it go but she had enough.

Cardi's Love Life

You may know that Cardi B had a spouse Offset and a daughter Kulture. Recently The rappers Cardi B and Mehgan Thee Stallion made a hit song "Wap" Offset wasn't happy at all. One a line from the song Cardi rapped was "I dont cook I dont clean but let me tell you have I got this ring". After the anouncement of The divorce people made a trend using cardi's own words against her saying "Cardi didn't cook or clean that's probaly why she lost her ring". Now Cardi is a Single Mother but still co-parents with Offset.

Her name

I don’t think this is controversial, but since it’s not (currently) in the article, maybe it is?

Her original name is Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oceancomediscover (talkcontribs) 02:46, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

Cardi B's name actually comes from alcohol! “My sister’s name is Hennessy, so everybody used to be like ‘Bacardi’ to me,” she told Wendy Williams. "Then I shortened it to Cardi B. The ‘B’ stands for whatever, depending on the day…beautiful or bully,” she added. “No one calls me Belcalis except for my family, my mother and my daddy."

The link in the article (mentioning that she discusses her name on this show) doesn’t work (for me).

Dominican nationality

I removed Dominican as a nationality from the infobox as I see nothing in the article that supports that for this American born and raised person. She says her father is Dominican but doesn't say whether he is a Dominican national himself or is just of Dominican descent. If she has the right to claim Dominican nationality for herself by right of parentage and has chosen to do so, it would need to be well-referenced before adding it to the article. Countries generally don't force citizenship obligations on children of their citizens born outside the country unless said child makes an affirmative declaration as an adult that they wish to be bound by that obligation. Years Active Should Be Swapped to 2014

Before Cardi herself was featured on Love and HipHop as a main cast member, she began posting Vine compilations on her channel at 22 years on November 22, 2014 under the username of sheiscardi... which to this day have been or are locked under an age gate barrier.

Also, in a similar side story before Dua Lipa even released New Love, she posted a cover of Robyn Fenty's Stay in SoundCloud at the tender age of seventeen on the 28 of May 2013 So instead of their years active being 2015 they should be changed into 2014/13 respectively.

Years Should be Swapped to 2014 Reprise

As I wrote here last August under a 47 IP which is still yet to be archived with some slight adjustments:

Before Cardi herself was featured on Love and HipHop as a main cast member, she began posting Vine compilations on her channel at 22 years on November 22, 2014 under the username of sheiscardi... which to this day have been or are locked under an age gate barrier.

Hope someone does not decline this mini edit request.

Update: Dua Lipa’s proposed change of years active to 2013 was rejected by Deacon Vorbis by writing the following: “Not done per Wiki’s policy of no original research” back in September. Hope hers doesn’t get rejected the same way.

How can she be black when she is Latino

Cardi B is of Trindad and Dominican descent, Trinidad's and Dominican's are Latina not black, they would only be black if they are descended by slaves.--Signed, (talk) 18:35, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

According to Afro-Dominicans, 15.8% of Dominicans are black; according to another Wikipedia article, Afro–Trinidadians and Tobagonians account for 35.4% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago. Thus there is a significant amount of black people in these countries. Plus, a person can simultaneously be "black" and "Latino/a" (see Afro–Latin Americans). Given that she identifies as a black person and that reliable sources state that she is black, I believe it is accurate to say that she is black in the article (while still acknowledging that she is also Latina, as the article also does). --Kzkzb (talk) 19:20, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

Overzealous WP:Tone and unnecessarily long sentences.

This version of the article has a huge grammar issue, phrases are tacked onto sentences, ("debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, broke several streaming records, was certified triple platinum by the RIAA,) instead of being seperated off into sentences. The second paragraph in general has a hugely unreadable long grammar issue, that could do much better if the paragraph about her debut album and the paragraph about her release of WAP were seperated into two, and there'd be less overzealous writing of style when it comes to her achievements. For example:

could be better written as:

This is far easier to read for the average reader than the overly long first sentence about Invasion of Privacy. "Pop pills now we Shanghai!"(talk to me!~) 06:45, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

Also, who is saying her aggresive flow and candid lyrics have received critical of praise, without no burden of proof? This is a very bold claim, and apparently unsourced. If you are going to make a strong claim as this, back it up with facts. "Pop pills now we Shanghai!"(talk to me!~) 06:51, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

I'm trying to improve the lead with less complicated grammar, seperating achievements by sentences, and a less ad-like overzealous WP:TONE. The lead as is right now doesn't sound neutral at all, and seems to focus more on her achievements rather than her career. This is my proposal, open to changes. "Pop pills now we Shanghai!"(talk to me!~) 13:03, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

  • Support as proposer. "Pop pills now we Shanghai!"(talk to me!~) 13:03, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
  • Oppose the rewrite suggested. We can and should fix for grammar where appropriate, however the tonal crtiticisms are unwarranted, in my view. For example, the editor asks "who" says Cardi B's style has received critical praise. Well, the rest of the lead listing awards and chart positions certainly imply critical praise. Pyrrho the Skeptic (talk) 16:17, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
I'm not against the mention of any said "critical praise", just saying that such claims should have a source, maybe an article saying that she has had critical praise? It's a bold claim. "Pop pills now we Shanghai!"(talk to me!~) 05:28, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
  • Oppose, per Pyrrho the Skeptic's comment. Also: the italics is for Billboard, why is Hot 100 in italics?, too many sentences, too many "and also". Cornerstonepicker (talk) 22:05, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
  • Oppose per above. As far as citing in the lead, it it is a summation of the body of the article it doesn't need to be cited, as it's already well cited below. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 10:47, 24 August 2021 (UTC) (Summoned by bot)
The lead for Cardi has huge WP:IMPARTIAL issues where irrelevant achievements are prioritized over career history, sounds like something that someone from her record label wrote instead of being impartial and fair. "Pop pills now we Shanghai!"(talk to me!~) 08:34, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
Rogue, on that topic, this week a Good-Article reviewer considered that it is you who keeps promoting the lead section of your favorite artist with puffery; also this month an administrator has warned you for your inflamatory edits in this article, who you openly dislike. That's also why I'm suprised you just wrote "being impartial and fair". Following their warning, please, if you open a rfc, follow it up, don't implement the changes you want either way; that's the process. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 19:59, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
I thought you had no issue with properly sourced edits with reliable sources? I added well-sourced information about how the New York Times said Minaj was the world's biggest female hip-hop star in the lead, since this is common for featured articles. That isn't puffery, stop overusing puffery, a positive edit towards someone is not always puffery. "Pop pills now we Shanghai!"(talk to me!~) 04:58, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
  • Support - Some of the achievements make sense in the lede. The phenomenal success of her debut album and the quick ascent from unknown to international megastar, for instance, are important parts of her career. At the same time, some parts are mostly irrelevant. Her feature on a Marooon 5 song probanly should be mentioned and neither should every time she topped the charts. The record of her being "the only female rap artist to achieve Hot 100 chart-topping singles in two decades (2010s and 2020s)" is pretty funny to me, not only because it is a very specific record, but also because her recording career only spans five years. It seems a very convoluted and circumstantial record to mention, especially since the previous paragraph already informs that she's the first female rapper with more than one number 1 hit single. The final paragraph of the lede could also be made more concise and be more of a summary of her achievements than an enumeration of every award she won. The lede tells the reader the same information (she is the highest selling female rapper ever) in about three different ways. PraiseVivec (talk) 15:12, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
    • There are some changes in the lead so that "Girls Like You" is included; gave the artist the most weeks. BET Awards was just added by some editor, I just removed it, makes it a long list. Regarding the number ones and the decades, there are currently three female rappers with multiple from the 2020s. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 20:11, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
This describes exactly how much the lead suffers from WP:NPOV and WP:IMPARTIAL issues- it sounds like the lead is over-focused on achievements than actual documentation of her life and career so far. "Pop pills now we Shanghai!"(talk to me!~) 05:01, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
This is the vague lead you're proposing here, for an artist you openly dislike (which an admin noticed recently):
  • "the second female rapper to be nominated for Album of the Year."... false, she's the third; the lead mentions it because it happened after 15 years
  • "WAP" (featuring Megan Thee Stallion), the lead single of her upcoming second album was her fourth chart-topper."... so there's nothing notable to add about this single?
  • "Her feature on "Girls Like You" with pop rock band Maroon 5 was her third number one on the Hot 100"... are you going to enumerate each one like this?
  • "and broke several streaming records"... mention one notable?
  • the italics "Hot 100".... said several times, it's Billboard Hot 100 or Hot 100.
Cornerstonepicker (talk) 05:34, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
Your accusations about my own personal tastes, just like political affiliations of editors, have no reason to be thrown around accusatorily in an encyclopedic space. My opinions are my own, and seemingly unlike you, I have been openly transparent about which artists I am a fan of and knowledgeable about. Plus, what is this accusation of me openly disliking Cardi B? Have I ever said or written down in a message "Cardi B sucks she should die?" Because I don't think I haven't. Anyways, the corrections have been done to the proposed lead; however I will maintain that an artist who's only had a career for about five years hitting number-ones in both decades is an unnecessary and quite frankly misleading fact. It makes it sound like she has been in the rap game for a lot longer than she actually has been.
Also, I checked the RIAA site; I can't find a source for Cardi currently being the highest certified female rapper (and also, language like "of all-time" is unencyclopedic when the Digital Singles chart is not something that is set-in-stone forever, it can always change.) Please add sources for these claims about Cardi. "Pop pills now we Shanghai!"(talk to me!~) 10:36, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
Paging people of the WikiProject: Women In Hip-Hop group for their opinions since this discussion is getting kind of slow; @VersaceSpace, Yikes2004, Blarb48, SunriseInBrooklyn, and Cybertrip: shanghai.talk to me 13:48, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
  • Light support The lead is currently very well written but reads more like a list of achievements than a chronological summary of the artist's career as per any WP:BLPLEAD, so I would naturally call for a re-write, however, the proposed lead doesn't help much in this regard either and also isn't as well written. cybertrip👽 ( 💬📝) 14:06, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
Alright; per this comment, I changed and summarized the lead to be noteworthy of her important achievements, while still keeping it simple and not filling it with non-lead worthy sentences. Would like to hear your thoughts. Thanks. shanghai.talk to me 14:49, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
It is bad enough that this user is trying to force his proposed lead by any means, when he openly dislikes this artist. the RFC should continue for more editors to participate. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 03:31, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
The discussion has been going on for 25 days and the last reply to the RfC was on the 28th of August; it has seen no activity since then. (it's been three. weeks.) so it only makes sense that the discussion would be closed. There is no reason otherwise to keep it going when seemingly everyone has made their point about said RfC. Supporters think the lead has too much WP:FANCRUFT and reads like a list of achievements; opposers think the tonal criticisms are unwarranted. shanghai.talk to me 03:49, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
  • Oppose. All I'm seeing in the suggested new version is a reduction in detail, all of which is significant to her career. Some slight wording changes are sometimes better, sometimes worse; a net zero. Let's keep the important details in the current lead section. Binksternet (talk) 04:35, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
@Binksternet: What important details do you think should be kept in the lead section? I tried to simplify the section to keep the most important sentences to weed out sentences like this:
    • "Cardi B is the female rapper with the most number-one singles (5) on the Billboard Hot 100, and the most cumulative weeks atop the chart, also holding other records among women in hip hop, such as being the only to achieve number ones in two decades (2010s and 2020s), and the only to achieve multiple number ones with solo songs."
Cardi's recording career has only spanned five years and she debuted in 2017; "two decades" makes it sound like she's had a career for far longer than she actually has; and this specific achievement has not even gotten reliable media coverage (the most I can find is a Forbes Contributor article, [weak] feel free correct me on this with multiple reliable coverage) "Also holding other records among women in hip hop" sounds unnecessarily comparative to other female rappers, and "the only to achieve multiple number ones with solo songs" can be written better as "the only to achieve multiple solo number ones."
It also doesn't help that a lot of the wording changes I've tried to do (such as citing a specific publication instead of the sentence blindly assuming all media interprets this in a specific way) keep being unexplainably removed. The lead also suffers from grammar issues, such as too many independent clauses making a lot of run-on sentences, and the second paragraph looking more like a list of achievements than encyclopedic coverage of her music. shanghai.talk to me 06:15, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
Here: Entertainment Weekly: the first female rapper to have a No. 1 hit in two different decade, Remezcla in two different decades., HipHopDX, BroadwayWorld... you're writing your interpretation, such statement isn't given. readers are smart; the paragraph starts with the year 2018. Also, yes the whole lead section can be reduced to "Cardi B is a rapper, wins awards and has number ones", but why reducing it that much? Your proposed lead removes the aoty fact, the Diamond fact... The answer is known. — By the way, in your proposed lead (that keeps changing) you replace the content I mentioned above with this: "explores themes of fame, success, wealth, and sex"; so, like all rappers? that's important for the lead instead of the other stuff? Cornerstonepicker (talk) 06:53, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
@Cornerstonepicker: Two of those sources are weak, and the HipHopDX article says that Madonna and Mariah Carey (featured articles, mind you) have also achieved number one hits in different decades; do you see that fact mentioned in their leads? If this achievement is not notable enough to be in featured article's leads, why should it be otherwise for Cardi B?
add it, then? your argument is very wp:And what about these other articles?. On the other topic, then take the strong sources. Cornerstonepicker (talk)
"Why reducing it that much?" Because otherwise overstuffing the lead full of commercial achievements, as it currently is now, is unencylcopedic and looks messy, not to mention ungrammatical with the amount of run-on sentences in the lead. Also my proposed lead mentions that she has a diamond song, and "explores themes of fame, success, wealth, and sex" is because I want to describe what Cardi's music is about too. We don't want the reader to assume that all Cardi does is be commercially successful and that there's nothing to her music; look at Katy Perry for an example of a lead where it's noted that the subject is both very commercially successful, and also detects the shifts in her music; Its follow-up record Prism incorporates pop and dance along with themes of self-reflection, everyday life, and relationships; 2017's electropop Witness featured a political subtext and a theme of liberation. shanghai.talk to me 07:25, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
Again the wp:What about this article argument. Every article is different, if you're thinking we should model all after that article. You said "we don't want the reader to assume.." readers are smart, you don't have to communicate that a hip hop artist raps about sex, wealth and success, removing encyclopedic achievement for that. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 08:01, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
@Cornerstonepicker: You're literally misrepresenting policy to fit your agenda.. that policy talks about keeping or deleting articles based on the existence of other articles; what I am doing is citing featured articles, the gold standard on Wikipedia, as reasons why certain content does or does not belong. In fact, if we look at Wikipedia:Featured articles, the second sentence literally reads:
  • Featured articles are used by editors as examples for writing other articles.
"if you're thinking we should model all after that article" Actually, yes, because editors are supposed to do that with featured articles. They're prime examples and models of encyclopedic articles for a reason. And your insistence on going against featured articles to keep all achievements of Cardi B in the lead section rather than moving the less notable ones to the achievements section is odd for an editor of your caliber. shanghai.talk to me 09:42, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
You asked "what important details" do I think should stay... the answer is the important ones. If you're rewriting the suggested text then you're looking at a new RfC. Binksternet (talk) 06:32, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
@Binksternet: I implemented some of the changes that had been suggested by other editors; I assume this is standard in RfCs, as it happened in the Nicki Minaj RfC itself. I'm not rewriting it all; just changing and fact correcting. I definitely think Grammy, number one hits, diamond record, critical acclaim, WOTY award are notable & important enough to keep in the lead; and the two decades, top digital singles chart (which I still can't find a source for Cardi being highest certified), and "cumulative weeks" are unencyclopedic and not really notable enough to be in the lead. Put it maybe in the achievements section instead. Again; in my opinion, the bio sounds like a long list of achievements rather than an encyclopedic biography per WP:BLPLEAD shanghai.talk to me 07:13, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
For that other article you just mentioned you were responsible for a lot of puffery, and that's the opinion of many editors, such wording there was almost ridiculous. Here, then, you're removing fact after fact, which are encyclopedic. On this topic, will "WAP" (full of headlines and coverage) just be thrown in there not naming any of its achievements? you can see the sources for the 'two decades' fact now. What I'm seeing is that you want to remove achievements like the aoty fact and the first-Diamond fact (not just a diamond) as well, to replace it with dull content. "up" is also written twice. and what is an issue is that you keep changing substantial parts of your proposed lead constantly... for example you also just removed this record by "i like it"; this headline doesn't sound encyclopedic? Cornerstonepicker (talk) 08:01, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
@Cornerstonepicker: "Removing fact after fact?" WP:ONUS states that not all verifiable information needs to be included in an article; I'd argue that your continued insistence on keeping less notable Cardi achievements in the lead rather than the Achievements section is unencyclopedic. I'm not removing them; just moving them to the Achievements section. Also; replace it with dull content? Seriously? That strikes me as a quite blatant disregard of neutrality.
Also, what dull content are you even talking about? The proposed lead still says that IOP was the best selling female rap album acc to Billboard, she has the most #1 songs for a female rapper, and that she was the first solo female rapper to win the Best Rap Album award. It lists her achievements without sounding like WP:FANCRUFT. Literally the proposed lead says "open to changes"; and you changed your RfC lead as well. shanghai.talk to me 09:56, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
I mentioned the removal of AOTY and first-Diamond fact. Fancruft would be writing "she's the most infuential", "she's the most successful". thats the bias that don't go here. Your argument in the other comments is still wp:And what about these other articles?, and the removal of the most covered achievements just feel like your known agenda against an artist you openly dislike. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 20:28, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
@Cornerstonepicker: In one of the "see also" essays that in that WP:WAX essay you cite, WP:OTHERCONTENT says:
  • While comparing with other articles is not, in general, a convincing argument, comparing with articles that have been through some kind of quality review such as Featured article, Good article, or have achieved a WikiProject A class rating, makes a much more credible case, if the review does not pre-date policy changes that affect the material.
On an unrelated note, correct me if I'm wrong, but when you started an RfC at Nicki Minaj, I didn't cry and whine and complain about your biased past with Nicki Minaj, because an RfC is not the place for that; I talked about the content. So why have you been making false accusations and personally attacking me in this RfC? Comment on the content, not the contributor. Stop with these unprofessional attacks. shanghai.talk to me 06:10, 20 September 2021 (UTC)
  • Support Not only is the proposed intro more neutral, it's more concise and has a better flow. Her numerous achievements deserve a section of their own, and anyone curious about her achievements can just scroll down to that section. Minkai (talk to me) 11:45, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
In the proposed, the user writes three achievements, and left behind the most covered ones, such as: the aoty nomination, the first-Diamond for a female rap. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 20:28, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
You're misrepresenting the argument as if this is about her commercial success being true or not; when it's not; the actual argument here is you shouldn't needlessly stuff your favorite artist with 50 billion of their achievements in the lead. According to WP:BLPLEAD, it doesn't. shanghai.talk to me 06:15, 20 September 2021 (UTC)
Comment: this article on Entertainment Weekly about the first-ever Diamond song by a woman rapper (is that 'first' not notable on the lead?), mentions, "the first female rapper to have a No. 1 hit in two different decades" among her top records.
There are so many achievements that aren't on the current lead section, not even on the section itself, but on the body. The two-ASCAP Songwriter awards have headlines on Variety, Recording Academy, Billboard; these top achievements belong on the lead section, not hid. I need you to elaborate on how those are 'wp:fancraft' or 'overstuffing'. Instead, your proposed takes spaces with repeated ideas like "Since then, she has earned more number-one singles...", on a lead section that is already short. Btw that was offtopic? but my favorite artist is Puerto Rican. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 07:53, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
There is a section called Achievements in the article for all her firsts. If featured articles don't make mention of #1 hits in decades, per WP:OTHERCONTENT, it doesn't make sense for this article to do it either. Especially considering that Cardi has only had a career for five years; if she debuted in 2010 then it would be a different story. Also, please follow WP:HEADLINES. Headlines are not notable sources. Leads are supposed to be short and a summary; your current lead has way too many grammar and tone issues. If you think the proposed lead is "too dull" then make constructive suggestions instead of appearing to canvass, which editors have warned you about on your talk page. shanghai.talk to me 05:19, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
  • Oppose "Less complicated grammar"? I'm not seeing a necessity in change. This proposed version compared to how it is now, I don't see much difference besides omitting information and the hankering to call Cardi B an actress in the lead when you can't even fill two complete sentences worth of her TV/Film career for the lead itself in your proposal. ChicagoWikiEditor (talk) 12:03, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
agreed; the user does confuse many concepts, inc grammar, when proposed change is just omitting information. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 06:08, 27 September 2021 (UTC)

Edit to be made

The statement in the "Legal issues" subsection that reads:

She was arraigned on June 25, 2019, and pleaded not guilty on all charges.

followed by citation "[329]" needs to have the template message (tag) {{update after}} (reading "update needed") appended to the sentence, to indicate that reporting on the case is incomplete until it is fully decided (charges withdrawn or adjudicated). The same applies to any other open case reporting that appears here. (Too often at WP, trains of thought simply drop, and in a legal case, unfinished reporting in a case later settled with an acquittal or withdrawal amounts to allowing an unresolved accusation to remain in print, which should be unacceptable in all cases, but especially BLP articles.)

Finally, for what it is worth, I call attention to the earlier criticisms regarding "Tone" and the overly positivistic, promotional tenor of this article, and I join with that earlier criticism, though it continues to be marginalised or ignored. In the case of an article with restricted access, ignoring honest criticism amounts to securing the control over the article to a select few (because most dispassionate academic editors are unregistered, and will not take the time to submit hit or miss suggestions in Talk, just for a clearly useful edit to be allowed to appear). I call on the broader pool of American culture and entertainment business editors to accept the criticism, and to begin to move the article toward being encyclopedic.

In support of this encouragement, I would call attention to the many statements that editorialise here (by strict WP definitions), and to the WP policies and guidelines that instruct us to not make such statements—apart from the careful selection of representative quotations from the best of writers. Our title subjects, and BLP ones in particular, are to be reported on by stating their achievements, and the opinions of others. Hence, a person is not described (with WP:Puffery, WP:Weasel, etc.) either by ourselves or by unquoted and unspecified others as "award-winning", or "esteemed"; instead their most important awards are presented, with citations, and the others that have stated their influence on them, or esteem for them, are reported on, based on good sources noting that influence or esteem. Often, if approached this way, balance naturally follows. (When all good sources are consulted, and given a fair hearing, not all will think the same about any artist or their work.)

In this regard, this article is not encyclopedic, however much the foregoing discussion found it to be acceptable as a result of the transient local consensus in its favour. It is up to the larger community to take responsibility, and call this for what it is—reading all too much like the work of fans, rather than a dispassionate pool of editors devoted to all aspects of a given subject, from all reliable sources.

For an example of encyclopedic writing about a popular culture source, see, for instance, the Beyoncé article at Britannica. 2601:246:C700:558:80E9:68C2:E761:C3FA (talk) 02:39, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

{{update after}} isn't needed here. There's a near certainty that editors will add new content when there's news about this particular case. As for the tone criticism, specific suggestions are much more welcome than vague complaints. This article does not describe Cardi B as 'esteemed' or 'award-winning'. Firefangledfeathers 02:47, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
The need to call for further information on a legal case last update here in 2019 is clear, and if you cannot see it (or put in the work to update it), I will not spend time uselessly arguing the point with you.
And if you and other active editors here are incapable of reading from the general—e.g., WP:NPOV, WP:PEACOCK, etc.—to the many specific examples herein, on your own, then again, I yield the field. You will not see what you choose not to. (There is likewise no point in offering the specific suggestion that you lift editing restrictions, so specific encyclopedic edits can be made, because that would mean relinquishing control over the article. However contrary maintaining control is to the spirit of this place, it is clearly your right to maintain it, and you appear to take some satisfaction in doing so.) 2601:246:C700:558:80E9:68C2:E761:C3FA (talk) 03:36, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

In addition

...if the control over the article is not going to be soon lifted—surely the threat of vandalism has abated, non?—the limited pool of editors overseeing the article need to decide on a standard source markup, e.g., {{cite web... or {{cite news..., and begin to migrate the references here toward valid, complete, citations of uniform format.

Along with this general, long-term exercise, the active regular editors need to begin to:

  • check the lede, line by line, for appearance of the same content in the main article (as WP calls for ledes to summarise article content in its most important points);
  • check the corresponding content in the main body, and ensure that it is covered by citation there, and if not, afix a [not verified in body] tag to any unsourced sentence in the lede;
  • check all citations, lede and main body, for dead links, and for any found, improve the sourcing by reviving the link using a web archive URL and the corresponding change to the citation markup;
  • check that for the appearing citations actually fully support all non-"sky is blue" content appearing in each sentence/paragraph to which they are afixed;
  • for each valid citation, complete it (add missing dates of publication, authors, access-dates, etc.), as there are many poorly presented citations, otherwise afix a [full citation needed] tag until the work is done.

For what the appearance of these tags would be after placing, follow the links to them at the collection of sourcing-related tags in the WP template index.

At present, given the state of the sources, it is more than a dissertation effort to try check sources as one reads (which spot checking has made clear is necessary, to see what material is truly verifiable). For instance, the statement:

Cardi B received a second nomination for the Brit Award for International Female Solo Artist, joining Missy Elliott as the only female rappers to be nominated multiple times in that category.

followed by citation [169] (at this current date- and time-stamp) is not supported by this poor citation, and thus reflects editor WP:OR and/or [editorializing]. The source does not state that it was her second nomination, and it does not state anything relating Ms Almánzar to Ms Elliott (i.e., the two both and only being multiple nominees in the category); this is all purely WP:OR that further violates WP:VERIFY. (Moreover, poor encyclopedic/WP writing, because, absent any qualification, the sentence is destined to become inaccurate, as it is inevitable that others will eventually make the "only" untrue.) This is but one case of a very general scholarly problem here, exacerbated by the closing of the article to outside influence.

Until such time as a major sourcing review and edit can be conducted, the tags {{full citations needed}} and {{citation style}} should be placed at the head of the article, so other editors with these copy/editing abilities are called (from among the community of logging editors) to begin to deal with some of the article's clear issues.

Some of this could be done on occasions the rest of us visit, but as long as the article is restricted, it is up to the small local group controlling it to call on others to help (or to release the controls, so all can help). Cheers. 2601:246:C700:558:80E9:68C2:E761:C3FA (talk) 03:20, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

@Anfwepgnrwfinre: Some achievements in the lead do make sense, such as the notable Grammy and Hot 100 records, certifications, etc. But then there seems to be these niche records that don't seem lead worthy, such as "multiple number ones in decades" (even though her career only started in 2017) and "Top Artists (Digital Singles)" ranking which seems to be another niche chart that I don't see used in other articles. The lead already reads very WP:FLUFF-y. shanghai.talk to me 05:47, 23 December 2021 (UTC)

Article is ridiculously long

The article is ridiculously long, filled with WP:FLUFF, and stuffed with irrelevant details that don't belong in her article at all. This absolutely looks ridiculous, when compared to articles like Katy Perry where it's only four or five paragraphs, the prose on Cardi's career has reached seven paragraphs.. with a lot of irrelevant details too, like why is her viral meme about Coronavirus included in an article about her career? Seriously? There's entirely seperate paragraphs for both WAP and Up filled when it doesn't need that much due weight at all. Talk page currently classes this article as B class, but I honestly think it's more under C class with the amount of poor writing in this... shanghai.talk to me 16:44, 3 February 2022 (UTC)

really curious about why everytime you post you dislike the article you compare it to Katy Perry's. this or others. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 02:50, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
Because it's a high quality featured article which I'm not sure that Cardi B will ever achieve. Keeping the article low quality because in your opinion it shouldn't be compared to actually well written articles is very...
And what happened to talking on user talk pages going "this editor says no to everything I write" when you're doing the exact same thing.. you're saying none of them have good reasons to be changed (very WP:DONTFIXIT) but you reverted her lead to say she's a singer and actress when she's none of those things... hold up. That sounds like "a fan using Wikipedia to push peacock narratives." Sound familiar? shanghai.talk to me 06:22, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
more experience clearly would be needed to add actress on the intro. srry but you keep using essays that don't respond to the topic. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 08:04, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
Hold on, so first you say my changes to make stuff less complicated and more neutral don't have valid reasons, but then suddenly say there are valid reasons for some changes? Hmmmmmm shanghai.talk to me 13:29, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
Her twitter activy is always covered by major media, all of it. Her trending tweets or back and forth are not encyclopedic, bc what is next, her arguing with conservatives or aspiring celebrities? all go viral on media. I noticed you were just complaining about the lenght of this article, but wrote a paragraph on that, which has no major repercussion nor consequences. It's the same as the long 'chink' paragraph you wrote, that another user had to properly size it. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 18:03, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
Did you not even bother to actually read any of the sources? It's not a Twitter, it was a live video of her wishing AIDS on someone. Your argument is based in "not encyclopedic", which is a very weak argument per WP:UNENCYC, and clearly you just don't like the content in the paragraph. Reliable sources covered her live video comments wishing someones AIDS and it was covered in plenty of reliable sources.
And why are you still trying to push using non notable unreliable sources such as a Nigerian newspaper and Omaha World Herald, but then saying Bustle is an unreliable source. Please be consistent.
Using a racist slur is also not a cute look, even in a quotation. shanghai.talk to me 07:31, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
Joining both section that are bout the same topic and a continuation. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 02:28, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

Reliable sources that mention AIDS comments

  • Billboard: "Cardi B Unleashes Expletive-Filled Rant Over ‘Access Hollywood’ Interview"
  • Complex: "Cardi B Calls Out ‘Access Hollywood’ Over Clickbait: ‘I Hope Your F*cking Mom Catch AIDS’"
  • The Hollywoood Reporter: "Cardi B Unleashes Expletive-Filled Rant Over ‘Access Hollywood’ Interview: “I Hope Your F—ing Mom Catch AIDS"
  • Buzzfeed News: "Cardi B Said "I Hope Your Mom Catch AIDs" During An Explosive Instagram Live Video"
  • Out Magazine: "Jonathan Van Ness Asked Cardi B to Apologize for Her AIDS Comments"
  • Insider: "'Queer Eye' star Jonathan Van Ness called out Cardi B for her comments about AIDS: 'It was so troublesome and problematic for you to say that"
  • Heavy: "Cardi B Sounds off-on AIDS Comment During Instagram Rant"
  • HipHopDX: "Cardi B Destroys "Access Hollywood" & Vows To Delete Her Social Media — Again"
  • Gay Times: "Jonathan Van Ness on his HIV status, calling out Cardi B and cancel culture"
  • Uproxx: "Cardi B Says She Won’t Apologize For Her Recent, Expletive-Filled Rant"
  • Daily Dot: "Cardi B blasts Access Hollywood in Instagram rant—but did she go too far?" shanghai.talk to me 07:44, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

From all of these, only Bllboard THR and Complex are decent sources. Yet my point stands, rants are not encyclopedic. She has had 9999 twitter rants discussing with every Conservative personality and aspiring rappers, all made media news. none of them encyclopedic, because none of them had repercussions on her image at all nor had generated backlash in the industry. You want to fill the Constroversy section with Twitter rants but the article's lengt bothers you (??) Cornerstonepicker (talk) 23:43, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

According to Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Perennial_sources, Buzzfeed News, Daily Dot, Insider Inc, are all reliable sources. Please actually check the list of perennial sources before making any misinformed statements about which sources are reliable and which aren't. And you're twisting my words to fit your narrative. You're talking about Twitter rants but it was a live video of her wishing aids on someone.
Your arguments are weak and only based in WP:UNENCYC. So far, your argument has only been along the lines of "Although many reliable sources covered this, it doesn't belong here because it's 'not encyclopedic.'" And actually, FYI, her consistent Twitter fights against conservatives have been covered in WAP (song). shanghai.talk to me 07:36, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
Here are the things where you're mistaken on:
  • I'm familiar with the list. the domaine web for the reliable Buzzfeed news is Buzzfeednews.com, not the one you posted. Insider.com is only reliable on its culture section. So is The Daily Dot.
  • the live video was part of a Twitter rant.
  • No 'twitter fights' with Conservatives are covered in the WAP article at all. You're confusing it with "Reaction from Conservative figures". This is what I'm talking about: Cardi B lashes out at Fox Nation's Tomi Lahren in border wall spat: 'I will dog walk you' highly covered. does it belong? no. Cardi B Says GOP Representative Criticizing... and this vs Rep. Glenn Grothman. encyclopedic? no.
  • You haven't answered how you criticize the article's lenght but at the same time you fill the Controversy section with twitter rants. For example, in this other article you remove Controversy section including a 2018 incident, yet in this article you make sure the same information stays. do you see the bias?
  • Through the years I've noticed you're very passionate against the subject of this article, don't let that translate into constant inflamatory edits. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 06:36, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
    • The link's logo says Buzzfeed News, if you hover over the logo it links to buzzfeednews.com, and the article is under the news section. It's pretty obvious that it is an article from Buzzfeed News. And again with the incorrect statement, as the list says "The Daily Dot is reliable for Internet culture." Cardi's internet video seems like a topical fit, it doesn't fall out of that.
    • It was still a live video, downsizing it would be inappropriate.
    • You seem to use WP:UNENCYC as a shield for the WP:IDONTLIKEIT argument, because you currently have stated no facts, only "I don't think this is encyclopedic therefore it doesn't belong" is not proper rationale for encyclopedia building. Your edits don't have any priority over anyone else's.
    • Again, not a Twitter rant, this was covered by many reliable sources which have more weight than your "this isn't encyclopedic" opinion.
    • Didn't you add information from The Daily Beast to Minaj's article, a source considered to be biased and opinionated by many editors per WP:DAILYBEAST? And as recently as this year, you seem to be cherrypicking sources by calling Bustle an unreliable source but keeping in sources in this article from "Geo TV" and a non-notable Nigerian newspaper. You have thrown your "what about the other articles" argument at me constantly and then gone ahead and citing other articles in an RfC without even completing WP:RFCBEFORE. Why the flip-flopping?
    • I have seen multiple editors over the years call you out for your apparent bias against Minaj, and clear bias to promote Cardi. The edits I linked show that. Why are you so concerned with removing content from Minaj's article to make it more "encyclopedic" but then keeping in a 500 word lead that's even longer than featured articles such as Katy Perry? Your sheer lack of transparency in being an apparent fan of Cardi goes against one of the very core values of this encyclopedia. You have thrown countless personal aggravated attacks at me, at one point calling Minaj's article a "fan blog" but then insisting on keeping a seven paragraph long section about Cardi's career? How is that not indicative of biased fan type editing?
Is it not coincidental that many editors on this talk page have called this article out for being overly biased and reading like promotion for Cardi B, an article that you have primary authorship of? I have tried to make edits to reduce the ridiculously long lead for example, (one even longer than Nicki's) but you instantly reverted it, reverting to a lead that calls Cardi a "singer" and a "businesswoman". And also keeping in the false attribution to non English versions of English magazines. You "have said no to anything I typed" with a sign of WP:OWNBEHAVIOR. shanghai.talk to me 08:15, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
You're citing essays that don't reflect this argument at all, while describing the behavior you have exhibited on that other article. I'm not a fan of the artist, but I consider I detect inflamatory edits. You self-identified as a twitter "Barb". "The Daily Beast" is a source I cited back then because it was a direct interview with the person, not a report, and have stopped using it since. You started the example of removing Controversy sections, as you did in that other article. However I don't agree in removing a whole section, but adding paragraphs of Twitter rants when the problem is the lenght? does not make sense. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 08:28, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
Your consistent denial and lack of transparency goes against the open transparent nature of this encyclopedia. And I'm not describing any behavior, I'm linking to diffs where its shown you cherrypick, and how you spam constant aspersions at me that I have provided diffs of you doing the exact same thing. I am transparent about what my interests are on Wikipedia, however you are denying being a "fan" of Cardi when you have primary authorship of several articles related to her. Additionally, adding personal drama related to Minaj's family is inflammatory especially when you use a biased and opinionated source like The Daily Beast. And you've been doing it consistently with other editors calling you out for your bias against Minaj, as you continue to deny it.
Removing a controversy section that consists of mainly feuds isn't even inflammatory (feel free to remove the part where Cardi assaulted Nicki) and where in my complaining about the length did I mention anything about the controversy section? I was talking about Career. Seems like for you there's no interest in upgrading the quality of this article. And you are still ignoring how editors are calling out how biased this article is, as you usually do. shanghai.talk to me 08:48, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
Not to mention there were also times where I didn't edit Cardi's article for months, and yet you still kept editing Minaj in a biased and negative way which editors have called you out for. And again, failing to address how many editors have pointed out this article that you have primary authorship of is largely biased and sounds like promotion for Cardi. shanghai.talk to me 08:54, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
Despite self-identifying as a "Barb", I want to believe your intentions aren't inflamatory, but then you post this kind of stuff. I've been a 'main contributor' in multiple articles through several years where I see there's stuff to research. How does a 'biased' page have paragraphs of legal issues and controversies... this article avoids sentences like "the most inflential" or "the best ever" like the other article where you only post the good stuff. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 09:36, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
How are you calling that edit inflammatory but these somehow aren't? Hmmm... By your backwards logic, this is an inflammatory edit, yet you always deflect from people calling you out on your bias against Nicki Minaj. And as usual, likely you will not address the diffs I've linked and pretend you're innocent. If you've been a "main contributor" in such articles, then why are you not focused on those articles and you are focused on Nicki Minaj and Cardi B specifically? And for months too..
You claim you have other responsibilities to attend to but you always find time to revert all of my edits constantly over and over again, and fight with a teenager on the talk page of a Wikipedia article. I have tried multiple methods such as going to your talk page to solve the issue of your consistent personal attacks, asking to drop the stick and move on but you keep on edit warring to your preferred version of both Minaj and Cardi's articles. Consistently. For months. Please do reconsider what you're doing here.
And just because an article doesn't have "the most influential" or "the best ever" does not mean it's not biased. It also doesn't help that other editors are calling out how biased the article is, not just myself. It reads like "a fan blog." shanghai.talk to me 15:09, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
You have openly spoken about disliking the subject of this article. Your interpreatations are far from accurate, I discuss on the Talk page and nobody is fighting.... you're very passionate here as a fan of NM and as somebody that dislikes the subject of this article. Please point out where's the biased wording. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 02:28, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
Stop trying to twist my words, that diff you linked doesn't say I dislike her anywhere. You are just assuming that. Attempting to twist my words is bad faith and a personal attack. I have shown diffs that your editing promotes and shows your bias as a fan of Cardi B. And again, you are deflecting from the diffs showing your consistent inflammatory edits towards Minaj for years that other editors have called out. shanghai.talk to me 05:41, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
