Carbon monoxide as an indicator of wildfire events?

edit

I couldn't find anywhere on this page talking about the link between wildfires and carbon dioxide (lmk if i'm wrong I just skimmed it), I think it could be useful to include since its a metric NASA and other government agencies use. bucas :) (talk) 13:25, 6 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

That aspect is mentioned "Other natural sources of CO include volcanoes, forest and bushfires, and other miscellaneous forms of combustion such as fossil fuels.[33]" --Smokefoot (talk) 14:24, 6 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Carbon monoxide is formed instead of carbon dioxide when there is a lack of heat?

edit

The wiki article says "The most common source of carbon monoxide is the partial combustion of carbon-containing compounds, when insufficient oxygen or heat is present to produce carbon dioxide.". I was wondering if it is correct because I couldn't find any other sources that mention it. Freestyle.reunion (talk) 20:44, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
