SpaceX speculation

edit

This sentence was in the lead section of the article:

It was speculated that the SpaceX Falcon launch vehicles might use the launch site, however when the decision to build a Falcon launch site at Canaveral was made, LC-40 was chosen instead.

It was unsourced. Can anyone provide a reference asserting SpaceX considered LC-36 for Falcon? (sdsds - talk) 00:53, 17 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Launch thrust of the older rockets that used LC36?

edit

Now that we know the target launch thrust of the Blue Origin New Glenn ("...seven BE-4 methane/oxygen engines producing 17.1 meganewtons (3,850,000 lbf) total thrust."), wondering what was the order of magnitude of the launch thrust when the older US government inspired rockets used this LC? Can we say what Blue Orgin are adding, changing, and keeping for their New Glenn launch facilities

edit

Can we say what Blue Origin are adding, changing, and keeping for their New Glenn launch facilities ? eg they are keeping and reusing the ramp, flame trench and deluge pit - but what else ? What are they removing, and what will be new ? - Rod57 (talk) 11:08, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
