Suggestion for New Page
editHello Wikipedians,
I noticed that there isn't a page for nursing sisters. In Canada, the term nursing sisters is commonly used for women who cared for wounded soldiers in wartime contexts. The term is used broadly in a number of official sources, such as the Canadian Encyclopedia, Veterans Affairs Canada, and Library and Archives Canada. If other people think this page would be a good addition to Wikipedia, I can start one in my sandbox.
Thanks!

– In the recent RM discussion recorded at Talk:Canada in the world wars and interwar period, it was agreed that "world wars" is not consistently capitalized in reliable sources and therefore should be in lowercase. There are two articles that I am not yet including in this list until further discussion is held at Talk:List of films made in Poland in the Interwar Period about whether it is better to say "interwar period" or "between the world wars". — BarrelProof (talk) 22:42, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support based on the previous discussion. While we would clearly capitalise the names of the individual world wars, we don't capitalise when pluralised. Cinderella157 (talk) 23:35, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support per guidelines of avoiding unnecessary capitalization, and evidence that sources don't find it necessary. Dicklyon (talk) 23:39, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support: Exactly as Cinderella157 said above. SchreiberBike | ⌨ 01:55, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
