Pruning of the list edit

I greatly expanded this dab page as a result of its AfD nomination. However, I think that some of the entries I added deserve to be pruned, or placed in another listing. Here are some thoughts on this:

  1. Many government of Canada agencies and departments have "of Canada" appended to their name. These should be excluded from the list (I don't think I added any that match this criterion).
  2. Some of the entries in media and business should be deleted; perhaps they could be placed in a listing such as List of organizations and businesses with Canada in their name (though a better name needs to be found for it).
  3. Some of the entries that occur before the section entries should be sorted and pruned accordingly.

Also, I'm certain I've missed all sorts of entries. I recall several locations in the USA with the name Canada, but I can't find any of them via google or on Wikipedia. Mindmatrix 18:48, 27 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Canada Line edit

I've removed the reference to "SkyTrain" from the Canada Line description. The Canada Line will not use the Bombardier SkyTrain technology or brand (see Canada Line), so the reference is incorrect. DoctorElmo 21:00, 16 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Dominion of Canada General Insurance edit

I've added the category Companies and placed the Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company in it. This is because few, if any, people actually state the full name rather opting for simply "The Dominion of Canada" Trump 00:14, 4 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Canada versus cañada edit

There seems to be a conflation of the country with the Spanish word meaning "glen." Should there be some distinction in the disambig? Fishhead64 06:19, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree, and have made appropriate edits (I think). Corticopia 21:28, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
