Talk:Call It Stormy Monday (But Tuesday Is Just as Bad)/FAQ

Q: Why is the article titled "Call It Stormy Monday (But Tuesday Is Just as Bad)"? The original Black & White single lists the song as "Call It Stormy Monday But Tuesday Is Just as Bad" without the parantheses.
A: When Capitol Records purchased Black & White in 1949, they acquired all Walker's masters and contract. Shortly thereafter, they issued the single as "Call It Stormy Monday (But Tuesday Is Just as Bad)" (record label). This designation has been used by numerous authoritative music historians and writers over the years. It's popularly called "Stormy Monday", but the long name helps to avoid the problems of it being associated with the similarly titled Hines-Eckstine song "Stormy Monday Blues". —Ojorojo (talk) 18:50, 21 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
