Postmiles on callboxes
I think some clarification is needed in regards to postmiles on freeway callbox signs. On a recent trip in California, I noticed that signs for sets of callboxes directly across from one another on a freeway never had the same "tenths" digit. Unless freeway callboxes are deliberately positioned to straddle the tenth-of-a-mile line, I don't think it's reasonable to assume you can infer the postmile location from a callbox sign (at least not with any more precision than the mile in which the box is located). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ljthefro (talk • contribs) 18:59, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Also, I noticed that callbox numbers do not jive with the postmile numbers. For example, right next to postmile 12.0 would appear a callbox numbered 123. HkCaGu (talk) 18:13, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
exit numbers
Caltrans has been adding Federal style exit numbers to freways in the state. By Federal Style, I mean miles from highway Origin in the state. This gets confusing because most of the highways have not gotten Federal Style mile markers meaning that if your not in the origin county, there is no corispondance. History
