Highway and road History
It may be worth adding a bit of highway history to our article. CA-46 replaced the (existing) Santa Rosa Creek Rd as the main highway access to the coast from US-101 in the 1960s, and if you have ever driven this narrow, scenic, and VERY slow road, you will appreciate how much local drivers & businesspeople appreciated this addition to the State highway system! I'm pretty sure this was a county road in those days (as it still is), but I'm not a long-term resident. --Pete Tillman (talk) 04:15, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
