Merger Proposal

edit

The California Agricultural Labor Relations Board does not need its own page separate from the California Agricultural Labor Relations Act (ALRA), which is the law this agency enforces. The ALRA article is more robust and already has info about the operation of the board under its Implementation section. The only thing this article adds to the mix is a discussion about a few specific controversies that the ALRB has faced, which could be added in a "Controversies" section on the ALRA page after someone has straightened out the POV issues. Otherwise, this page should merge with the ALRA page redirecting "California Agricultural Labor Relations Board," ALRB, etc. --Güe(rill)a (talk) 02:51, 17 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Weak oppose Does the board enforce laws other than the 1975 ALRA? Are there details relevant to the board but irrelevant to the act? I think you should assert the topic can be merged, including potential future material, not just the current section making up the board's article; I don't think you've considered if future material relevant to the board will be appropriate in the act's article. int21h (talk · contribs · email) 20:26, 19 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
Oppose - Just as there are separate National Labor Relations Act and National Labor Relations Board articles, so too there should be separate ones for the California act and agency. - Tim1965 (talk) 15:09, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
Closing, given consensus not to merge.
