He was a professional baseball player, passing the WP:ATHLETE test playing at the highest level in his sport. Does it matter how long he played? In fact, I think the fact that he only played one inning makes him even more notable. How many MLB players have that statistical anomaly? Or as the Notability guideline says: The topic of an article should be notable, or "worthy of notice"; that is, "significant, interesting, or unusual enough to deserve attention or to be recorded (bolding mine) As another example of an established Wikipedia article for a guy that played in the majors for 4 days, see Brian Smith (baseball).
