Talk:Cade Skywalker

Latest comment: 15 years ago by EEMIV in topic Redirect

"On May 2, 2006, on a TFN thread about Cade Skywalker, author John F. Ostrander revealed that Cade is Anakin reborn and Vader's pants was meant to be the clue." -- Are we sure this is not a joke? Because saying something like this when they are otherwise trying to keep the whole series under a veil of secrecy just smacks of taunting the fanboys. StarNeptune 07:57, 5 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

um, a quick question edit

okay, so we know that Ben had a son, Kol, and Kol had a son, Cade, who is acting all crazy right now, and that is to be suspected because his dad is kinda dead. what i want to know is who the heck did Ben tie the knot with to have Kol in the first place and, in the same aspect, Kol for Cade? ^_^ an update would be great because i live in nowheresville and we don't get to read those cool star wars comics and GN a whole heck of a lot.

  • has it been stated that Cade is Ben's grandson? there could have been any number of generations between Ben and Cade

bigger than ben edit

Can anyone tell me why this guy who has only appeared in one novel breifly, has a bigger article than ben skywalker, a pivotal character in several?

  • He appeared in 17 issues of Star Wars: Legacy comic. 58.8.83.146 (talk) 13:45, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

In-universe edit

Anyone seriously interested in improving the article should consider adding some real world related info, e.g. regarding the concept, creation, and/or function of the character within the Star Wars narrative etc. Please consult our writing about fiction guideline, which also includes a list of exemplary articles.

There are currently three featured articles on Star Wars characters: Palpatine, Padmé Amidala, and Jabba the Hutt. What sets them aside from most of the other SW character articles is the effort to write from the real world perspective. Pay particular attention to paragraphs like Jabba the Hutt#Concept and creation, Palpatine#Concept and creation, and Padmé Amidala#Characterization.

Also take a look at Darth Vader, which despite its lack of reliable, published third-party secondary sources features interesting sections on e.g. #Character creation and concepts and Darth Vader as a #Cultural figure.

Even though reliable sources may be tough to come up with, any effort to introduce coherently written real world aspects will be greatly appreciated, because it contributes to the depth of the article and accurate coverage of the topic, and thereby makes for an improved reading experience and increases the encyclopedic value of the article.

Redirect edit

This is mostly in-universe plot summary, with no citations to third-party sources to establish notability. I am redirecting this to List of Star Wars characters. Please feel free to add there any sort of that real-world/development stuff, but only if cited to sources. --EEMIV (talk) 14:57, 13 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

The redirect was reverted. I eagerly await the reverting's explanation of why, and/or in what way it has addressed the sourcing and notability issues. --EEMIV (talk) 13:30, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
it has addressed the issue of your unilaterally blanking & redirecting pages. posting a comment on the talk page while blanking & redirecting does not make it a legitimate practice. if you have problems with an article, then follow procedure in fixing them. you know so much about WP, i would expect you to know how to apply it. Actually, what I did was quite fine. When people disagree with a redirect, they enter into WP:BRD. However, you've offered no content-based rationale for restoring this article, instead trying to make a misguided and uninformed point. *sigh* Another AfD to sit through. Well, whatever. --EEMIV (talk) 13:55, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

re accidental blanking of talk page edit

sorry that was an error; i was trying to revert eemiv's unilateral blanking & redirect of the article page, but i seem to have tripped over something in between checking the talk page & reverting the article. presumably i was on the talk page history when i reverted, but i'm not sure how? the redirect link kept sending me to the wrong place, so i might have hit "back" one time too many.

didn't realize it had blanked until eemiv commented on it
