Failed good article nomination on August 20, 2023 edit

Upon its review on August 20, 2023, this good article nomination was quick-failed because:

it contains cleanup banners including, but not limited to, {{cleanup}}, {{POV}}, {{unreferenced}}, etc, or large numbers of {{citation needed}}, {{clarify}}, or similar inline tags that are still valid,

thus making it ineligible for good article consideration.

The tables at the end of the body present the reader with a massive wall of data, which needs to be summarized and explained in prose. Ideally, this should look something like the Fossils section in the GA Marcellus Formation#Fossils. Then, if the subject of Cañadón Asfalto Formation fossils can be demonstrated to be notable for a stand-alone article, the long tables might be split to their own article along the lines of the GA Fossils of the Burgess Shale. When this is addressed, the article may be re-nominated for GAN without prejudice.

This article did not receive a thorough review, and may not meet other parts of the good article criteria. I encourage you to remedy this problem (and any others) and resubmit it for consideration. If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to take it to a Good article reassessment. Thank you for your work so far. – Reidgreg (talk) 20:00, 20 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
