Criticism section edit

The criticism section really should be cut. Genuine criticism of The Comedy Network would be fine, but the section as is doesn't have a leg to stand on and is certainly not encyclopedic in style. I tried to delete it, but it's been restored. Why keep it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.226.9.193 (talk) 03:12, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I removed it again, anyone who wishes to write a proper critisism category is more than welcome too, however please to not reinstate the old one as it is unsourced and biased. Bliss 182 (talk) 04:15, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I would like something added to imply that a large number of Canadians don't like that they can't access the Comedy Central links because Comedy Network rarely has the content online when the show airs and degrades the experience. Can we get a few people to agree and then someone write something? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.68.46.150 (talk) 05:09, 16 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

edit

Does anyone know why Comedy messes around with Comedy Central's logo on their shows, by putting a really ugly Comedy Logo over it? I mean, honestly, doesn't that seem stupid to anyone else? --68.150.69.36 22:22, 20 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

They do this with only 2 shows, I think, which are The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. --Von 08:40, 21 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

They simulcast those shows from Comedy Central and as such, they have no way to remove the comedy central logo (bug) from the screen. The Comedy Network wants their logo to be seen so they have to put it over the other logo. CTV does the same thing when they air soap operas in the afternoon--BoyoJonesJr 22:59, 21 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I dont care about the logo, but someone should tell them to stop fucking up the commercial timings on Daily show and the report. --Gerash77 03:27, 4 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

POV tag edit

This concerns POV tag cleanup. Whenever an POV tag is placed, it is necessary to also post a message in the discussion section stating clearly why it is thought the article does not comply with POV guidelines, and suggestions for how to improve it. This permits discussion and consensus among editors. From WP tag policy: Drive-by tagging is strongly discouraged. The editor who adds the tag must address the issues on the talk page, pointing to specific issues that are actionable within the content policies, namely Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia:No original research and Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Simply being of the opinion that a page is not neutral is not sufficient to justify the addition of the tag. Tags should be added as a last resort. Better yet, edit the topic yourself with the improvements. This statement is not a judgement of content, it is only a cleanup of frivolously and/or arbitrarily placed tags. No discussion, no tag.Jjdon (talk) 00:28, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

It is not CTV Comedy Channel yet edit

The CTV Comedy name change did not take effect yet. All official information about the channel still refers to it as The Comedy Network [1] [2]

For the record, I'm becoming increasingly doubtful about whether the rebrand is actually happening at all anymore. They announced this whole rebranding bonanza (Comedy Network → CTV Comedy Channel, Bravo → CTV Drama Channel, Space → CTV Sci-Fi Channel, Gusto → CTV Life Channel ) in June of last year, but as of March 2019 it still hasn't happened. I don't know whether they changed their minds entirely, or whether it just got delayed for some reason, but...I just don't know. Bearcat (talk) 13:58, 9 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

It got delayed. Obviously.MarcoPolo250 (talk) 12:24, 9 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Why on earth do you have to show this god awful program a hundred times a day? 2001:569:5360:5500:FC71:276C:E997:BB08 (talk) 05:05, 21 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
