Examples edit
The given examples don't seem interesting enough to aid understanding of the concept. Are there any càdlàg functions (on the reals, say) whose points of discontinuity do not form a discrete subset of the domain? Mike Segal (talk) 21:18, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Definition edit
Is there any reason to restrict the definition to functions whose codomain is a metric space instead of a topological space? Albmont (talk) 19:10, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- “Càdlàg” itself makes sense for functions taking values in topological spaces. However, the càdlàg modulus, as a numerical measure of “how càdlàg” a function is, only makes sense if there's a notion of distance in the codomain. Sullivan.t.j (talk) 13:48, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
