On a more serious note: signs of change

edit

If it at all matters, this was hardly the first "student rebellion" or even "student riot" in America; perhaps at Harvard? Yale had quite a few rebellions, one in 1718 which included a young Jonathan Edwards over moving Yale to New Haven, one in 1721 over the food, and many incidents after, under "no rector" Andress from 1722- 1726, the Rector Elishu Williams until 1739, and President Clapp until 1766. Actuallly student riots may be considered a weathergage of change and at Yale, a place far more exposed to change and welcoming to it, protests and riots were more common.
