No no ... A Bus station or a bus terminus, in the context of interciy bus travel (Greyhound bus), are more than mere bus stops. Peter Horn 22:55, 24 May 2006 (UTC) bullshit!!!!!!!!

largest bus station

edit

Is there a source for this claim that Tel Aviv is the largest bus station in the world? I keep seeing this stated over and over in Wikipedia, but no one provides a reference. Someone said it was in the 1994 book of Guinness records. I have the book for 2005 and there is no mention of it.--Gilabrand 08:20, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

...and the article says "The station, which was opened in 1993 has a built area of 230,000 m² and a total area of 44 dunams (44,000 m²)". So the total area is smaller than the built area?? --Jotel (talk) 07:54, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'd say that the Esenler bus station in Istanbul as well as the main bus station in Ankara are a lot bigger than the one in Tel Aviv. (But then, what do you mean by "biggest" anyway? Most passengers? Most buses? Most area, even if it is mostly unused like it is in Tel Aviv?)--93.196.46.47 (talk) 17:22, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

One picture in this page says Tel Aviv has the largest Bus Station in the world. Another picture says Chennai,India has the largest in Asia. How can this be possible ?

First bus station?

edit

According to the text below, the first bus station in the world existed in Wembley

The British Empire Exhibition opened in 1924 at Wembley in north London. It was a huge spectacle that ran for two summer seasons and attracted millions of visitors. Built from scratch on a greenfield site, the exhibition was a showcase for goods and produce from the Empire countries. Visitor attractions included an amusement park, a stadium for mass entertainments, and the world's first bus station. From: http://www.20thcenturylondon.org.uk/british-empire-exhibitions-1924-1925

Merging Bus terminus

edit

Bus terminus is completely uncited; the concept can easily be summarized in one or two sentences in this article. 162 etc. (talk) 17:58, 23 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Several months have passed, and I see that nobody has improved the Bus terminus article. I am deleting the entirety of it, per WP:PROVEIT, and redirecting here. 162 etc. (talk) 22:37, 13 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
