I subtracted the small amount of info about Stephen Grover Burnett in this article and added a link to the much longer article about him.

Here's what I took out: "Stephen was a veteran of the War of 1812. He migrated from New Jersey to Ottawa, Canada, then to Detroit in a barge across Lake St Clair. Then up the Maumie River over the mountains and down the Wabash River to Terre Haute, IN." Paulburnett (talk) 03:28, 17 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

What Year was Burnett IN Founded?

edit

The article says "Burnett was founded by Stephen Grover Burnett and his wife Hanna Creal Burnett in approximately 1835." Unfortunately Hanna died in 1829, thrown from a horse. I have no documentation that Stephen and Hanna founded Burnett - originally named "Otterville" and later "Burnett Post Office" - but that it may have been named after Stephen. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Paulburnett (talkcontribs) 23:42, 23 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
