'Recirculating worm and ball design' edit
Having carefully read the link it appears to me that this is incorrect. The manual more correctly refers to it as a 'screw and nut' design, which is much clearer. There are no recirculating ball bearings in the thread - the whole point of the design is the large contact area within the thread dispersing the forces and maintaining the oil film - ballbearings would have point contacts.
