Talk:Bukit Bintang Boys' Secondary School

I've deleted the remarks about Mr. Agis. No rude remarks about teachers and students please! I know how you feel about him! :) --Pepper Lim 03:52, 22 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Leave the lyrics about the school song out. It makes no sense to put it in. --Pepper Lim 03:52, 22 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I started this page way back in 2004 and have struggled to keep it "alive" from being VFDed. Lets beef up the page by interviewing old teachers who may know something about the history of the school and try to leave out trivial information. Some more "achievements" would look good on the page! --Pepper Lim 03:52, 22 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Is this really any more encyclopediable than your average US High School? Wetman 05:10, 25 Sep 2004 (UTC)

I think it should be vfded, myself. And the article about the founder. And all of the huge numbers of redirects deleted. RickK 05:43, Sep 25, 2004 (UTC)

This is not just an average high school but a noted land mark during the birth of Malaysia as a nation struggling to stand on its own two feet. I hope someone can add some notable achievements of the school soon. --Pepper Lim 03:52, 22 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

AGIS PARAYAN

edit

Trivia: adding non-trivia

edit

Dear contributors,

It makes so sense to add non-trivia (e.g. the emotional farewell - everybody cries at farewells!). These memorable events and feelings can be best recorded in BB's own website.

This wiki should record interesting facts, achievements, historical background etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pepperlim (talkcontribs) 03:23, 25 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

New school projects

edit

Can someone update this page with the newer school building projects such as the Staff Room, school field, new toilets etc? I graduated in 1985 and have little knowledge of the newer projects. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pepperlim (talkcontribs) 03:36, 25 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

So if you cannot, don't ask others to. And sign your post next time. 60.50.65.11 (talk) 14:58, 28 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think that i can do, need to start digging though my digital photo albums.lonewalker (talk) 17:57, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

History

edit

>The students have a Computer Lab built in 2008 with 30 computers (History )

The computer lab was present since (at least; 2001-2002 i recall) 2003 in the Boler's block. That is the current new lab when they rev-ed all the computers up to C2D machines. --lonewalker (talk) 18:09, 17 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

School name

edit

According the the 25th anniversary (Silver Jubilee) year book "The Bintang", the school was named by The Malay Mail who named it after BBGS but a speech given by Mrs Yeoh Kim Eng (retired BBGS teacher) said Ms Mary Glasgow named the school after BBGS. I have corrected it as it sound more plausible than for a local newspaper to name a school willy-nilly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pepperlim (talkcontribs) 11:48, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Updating the page

edit

Hi, I'm a Form 5 student this year, I would like to update this page (a tad bit). I'll TRY to get pictures after the Raya holidays. And to the mister who asked about Mr. Agis, he's retired, in case you have not been notified; he still comes to school to teach extra classes (kelas tambahan) and tuition. WikiJaZon (talk) 07:53, 12 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Should I state that there was a break-in case and arson (presumed to the case that occured) as part of History? Sadly, it occurred this year. WikiJaZon (talk) 02:54, 16 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

I glad to see someone still in BB finally updating the page, once you get out of school you won't have much time to spare and to do things like these --lonewalker (talk) 19:20, 16 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Pictures

edit

I'll help out with pictures. Spoke to Pn. Quah about the Wiki entry. Will update as soon as free. BTW, she's questioned about the extended carpark? When was that built? WHZhang (talk) 09:46, 25 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

List of head prefects

edit

I am pretty sure that in 1995, my friend roslan was the head prefect. However, i cant be too confident, because i dont even remember how to spell his name properly Andrewkeith80 (talk) 04:17, 25 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

History

edit

In my humble opinion, I believe that "A few old students had an interview with McGregor in 2007. He is fondly remembered for his liberal use of the cane and the dreaded phrase, "Fetch the cane and touch your toes." He was a strict disciplinarian, but many former students are thankful for the use of caning to discipline students", is not a factual statement. Thus, I have taken the step to remove it. If anyone is against it's removal, please discuss here before reverting it. WikiJaZon (talk) 00:16, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
