– No clear primary topic of either singular or plural. The instrument gets 5,397 views but Ajuga (of which "Bugle is a common name) has 2,488, The Bugle has 1,504, Bugle, Cornwall has 139, the snack has 5,598 and Elk (a sound made by a male elk) has 28,673. It seems that there is no clear primary topic by usage for the singular though the instrument is probably the most likely and by long-term significance the instrument and plant are stronger candidates for. Like with Ruffles Bugles (potato crisps) is also an option but the article seems to describe is as a snack rather than brand even though both are snacks/brands.
