The Hong Kong Cavaliers edit

The article mentions the fields that the different Hong Kong Cavaliers are interested in. Where does this material come from? The novelization? I haven't seen it mentioned on any of the other Buckaroo Banzai pages.--MythicFox 08:00, 12 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fictional Soundtrack edit

Not endorsed by MGM or any entity associated with the original movie; apparently stolen by unknown persons during a live concert at a fictional location, and then returned years later to the Cavaliers via the internet, the "long missing album" by the HKC's entitled "The Hong Kong Cavaliers Live At The Valley Of The Bones Tavern" (2008) can be found at the following web-link...

What these recordings actually are are music created using Pre-recorded Sound Loops from various sources, re-arranged and mixed in an original fashion, some loops were available for free, some were more commercial and had to be purchased. Apple's Soundtrack, iCompositions, BeatHive, among other unlisted contributors are responsible for the specific sounds used in the tracks.

The List of musical instrumentals include: 01 Special Request (4:26), 02 Dance of the Microbes (5:56), 03 A Hot Day In The North And South Poles (4:20), 04 Around The World At The Speed of Light (0:02), 05 Who Is My Neighbor? (4:14).

The web-page also features comments from several band members, cryptic messages, as well as album cover-art. The author has plainly stated he will not "compose" another HKC album.

It is available for free download. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spacebusmatrix3000 (talkcontribs) 02:09, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Buckaroo and Brian edit

I heard today that Brian May of Queen has a Ph.D. in astrophysics and is chancellor of a college in England. Anybody know if this was known to the inventor of Buckaroo Banzai? 4.249.198.121 (talk) 18:05, 4 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

May's PhD is honorary, which coincidentally I learned just today (from one of his books). He was on the track to getting an earned degree, except for Queen's success led him away from his studies. As to your question, it is probably coincidental, as there is no indication in either article as to any tie. --LeyteWolfer (talk) 05:22, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
per his wikipedia article, his PhD is NOT honorary. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 136.182.2.25 (talk) 23:06, 5 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

In Universe edit

This article makes no distinction regarding what info is from the movie, what is from the novel, and what is from the comics. It also only mentions in-universe information as fact. I have tagged it appropriately. Macduff (talk) 15:24, 17 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
