Why poloidal

Agreed the direction of rotation is poloidal, but the mathematical shape (assuming perfection) is still a toroid. --Wally Tharg (talk) 10:15, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

This gif of a diver blowing a ring seems useful. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to make it repeat, with a pause so it's not annoying. If anyone has the necessary skills, this might be a good image for the page. - Featous (talk) 01:04, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
