Hi to anyone listening.

Name

Its name is difficult to translate directly but means either 'the mound in the dark grove' or possibly 'the mound in the grove of the deity'

This is a rather confused statement and needs to be tidied up. There is no difficulty whatsoever in translating the name Bryn Celli Ddu, which means, without any ambiguity, 'Hill (Mound) of the Dark Grove' in Modern Welsh. There may or may not be speculation as to the origins of the name, but in terms of translation there is, as I have said, no difficulty whatsoever. Sanddef (talk) 14:56, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

Pronunciation?

Anyone add the pronunciation if they know it. If unfamiliar with phonetics or wiki page language you can state here how to pronounce it and I or someone else can convert it for the article. I am OK at phonetics but not Welsh. Carlwev (talk) 08:47, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

I'm moderately OK in Welsh but not in IPA. Guessing from the article Welsh phonology I write: B, trilled R, short i, n. K, short e, voiceless lateral fricative (I think, possibly ɬ) l, short i. Unvoiced th, and a sound I don't even know how to describe, approximately ee but with a bulge of the tongue, going back to Welsh phonology it's probably /ɨ̞/
