WikiProject class rating

edit

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 17:08, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Batting graph

edit

Is there any point to having this on the page? Firstly, it is inaccurate. The blue line, presumably representing average, finishes between 2 and 4, when Reid's final Test batting average was over 4. Secondly, it is of little relevance to have information relating to batting when he was a specialist bowler. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Donners (talkcontribs) 00:13, 22 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Disruptive editing

edit

A series of IP addresses have edited the page and others recently to add an unnecessary overlink for Australia. Per WP:OLINK - there is no need to link to large geographical entities such as Australia in this context - and the obvious tautology is, well, a tautology - where else, exactly, do you propose locating Western Australia rather than in Australia? In an article such as this we simply don't need the addition of the country name to be clear where he was born - in an article about the state, yes, sure, we need it. Obviously.

These are dynamic IP addresses almost certainly from the same editor who has used other, similarly dynamic IP addresses in the past to edit pages such as Nathan Coulter-Nile and similar articles. That article has had to be protected as a result. These are clearly disruptive edits which have now gone past WP:3RR. I'd really rather not have to go to RPP, but will do so if necessary.
