Skilled Jazz Pianist

His piano skills are not mentioned anywhere.

That is because he is a mediocre pianist at best. Paul210 (talk) 22:43, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

??

My! This is a insultingly short page to the man that is Brucey. --AdamM

What makes you say that? It seems fairy concise to me. Paul210 (talk) 22:44, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Vandalised?

Can someone please revert whatever changes were made in the last day back to what they were? MapleLeafFan04 22:39, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Please remove the 'date of death' from the top of the page as this is not confirmed and is most likely untrue. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.78.209.193 (talk) 09:33, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Brucie's Surname

There seems some discrepancies around Brucie's surname, sometimes Forsyth, others Forsythe. I believe his name is Forsyth. --Slimberly

It's definitely without the 'e'. Martyn Smith 21:07, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Spurs *and* Arsenal?!

One *cannot* support both of these teams, they're deadly rivals!! It'd certainly be one or the other. I shall try to find out :-) Martyn Smith 21:07, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

I only know of one other case, an author named Alex Fynn who has written books on both Arsenal and Tottenham. I've only ever heard previously of Brucie being a Tottenham fan. --Groovycathers

He was on Sky Sports News before the 2nd Leg of the Carling Cup Semi final stating that he supported both teams. Even wore both shits during the piece —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.45.190.50 (talk) 02:18, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Removed a line of "trivia"

I've removed "*If eaten he tastes just like chicken." This is someone taking the mickey. --Groovycathers

contradiction

OBE or CBE? Arsenal and Tottenham? these are just a couple--Lucy-marie 19:39, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

He got an OBE in 1999 and a CBE in 2006 - Ryan Mercer, 10 September 2006

OBE and CBE are not stand alone honours. They are different ranks in the same order of chivalry. The higher rank supersedes any previous award in the same order. (86.165.191.140 (talk) 14:00, 21 February 2009 (UTC))

Tags?

Are all the tags at the top of the article necessary? I came to this page genuinely looking for information, and to be faced with a page of tags and have to scroll down to get the article is not a good thing - is this some sort of vandalism? --El Pollo Diablo (Talk) 22:53, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

I assumed they were vandalism and removed them. If anyone thinks any of the boxes should be reinstated then they should list the issues they have on this talk page. Iae 19:04, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
The tags you assumed were vandalism were added by myself to highlight the poor quality of this article i admit i may have gone with a few too many but removing all of them is excessive as well like removing that the article requires more sections and sources and the contradictions. some of them should be re added accordingly and not a blanket removal of all and the catchphrase section is all quotes which should be avoided so saying they are all quotes or too many is perfectly justified.--Lucy-marie 20:30, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Don't disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point. Proteus (Talk) 20:42, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I see you tried re-adding them but obviously an entire screen full of infoboxes with no explanation isn't very helpful. I think the citations infobox is certainly required but I can't really see how a lot of the others apply, so if you could explain... --Iae 01:08, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Certainly, this article is too short, and it is definitely not yet of a good or encyclopaedic quality, but one of the main importances of Wikipedia, in my opinion, is that each article is readable. Having lots of tags at the top of the article reduces its readability, and should be avoided - if you are desperate to improve the quality of this article in particular, why not do an article improvement drive? --El Pollo Diablo (Talk) 15:04, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Lucy, you did a very similar thing to the Noel Edmunds article. You polluted the article with loads of {{fact}} tags without making any attempt to correct the problems yourself. Why not have a go at correcting/researching/rewriting any problems with this that you perceive. People tend to be very unhappy when you bombard pages with those tags without contributing constructively yourself. The JPStalk to me 17:04, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
I resent the use of he word polluted . I saw it fit add those tags to the article as i usually add many many tags to articles I edit. for example the relitivly short Amanda Dowler article has more refrences than the Noel Edmonds article which is three times as long as it. So I believe strongly in refrences and citations. It was not a form of pollution as most have now been refrenced in the Edomnds article.--Lucy-marie 21:26, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
I also believe strongly in references and citations, but am becoming quite annoyed by you continually adding fact tags to articles when you make no effort yourself to source them. It is as if you are dishing orders around. The fact tags with which you polluted the Edmunds article (and the article looked hideous with them) were only replaced because someone else spent days adding the references. Please consider either doing the work yourself or discussing the problems on a talk page. The JPStalk to me 09:51, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Please refrain from personal attacks. The article had been tagged by someone as requiring sources and refrences. I simply showed where I though the refrences should go and I have added my own refrences to the article as well. I was simply stating by adding the fact tags to aid myself and other as to where sources and refrences were required and It Is NOT pollution it is an aid to improve the article.--Lucy-marie 11:19, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Please refrain form accusing people of violating NPA without evidence. The JPStalk to me 11:32, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Saying i was "dishing out orders" and "polluting" the article in my opinion that is a personal attack on what i was doing to improve the article.--Lucy-marie 14:51, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Nope. A personal attack is an attack on your character. Criticising your work is not a personal attack. The JPStalk to me 16:15, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Now we are rambling lets end this amicably so we dont end up hating each other over tags on an article and please review the history of the Noel Edmonds article to see that i do put work into it.--Lucy-marie 17:00, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Yup, I agree it could get silly. *virtual handshake* The JPStalk to me 17:01, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
I accept you *virtual handshake* and extend my hand to accept.--Lucy-marie 17:09, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Play Your cards Right

Didn't he present this gameshow? Contestants had to say if the next playing card was higher of lower than the previuos one. Complete drivel, but a fact nonetheless.

First sentence... Lambertman 22:17, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Age and birthdate?

How can he be 91 and born in 1928?

"not related to Chris Forsythe"

Educated guess - this refers to the Chris Forsythe associated with the Adium and Growl software projects - can someone confirm and clarify this article accordingly? Emurphy42 14:45, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

Probably random nonsense - rmvd it. --mervyn 09:11, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Bruce and the Seacombe Connection

Hi can this be reverted. Bruce helped the area of Seacombe immensely over the years and Seacombe helped Bruce. This is an important part of his life and Seacombes and is often missed from the traditional Brucey Biography. He would not have come up with the phrase Good Game Good Game without his experuence there.

Not Dead

When I came to this page it said he died on 10 October 2008. He did not die today.

I have removed this reference but perhaps someone who can use Wikipedia better can check who wrote this.

Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.194.179.142 (talk) 22:19, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Wig?

I can't believe that nobody has mentioned he famously wears a wig, appaearing to have far more hair now, at 80 years old, than he did in the (19)70s when he was on the generation game —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.8.198.184 (talk) 15:15, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Nice to see you

Why is this catchphrase repeated under each of his TV shows? Paul210 (talk) 20:35, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Julie Forsyth

I'm going to remove the line about his daughter being a one-time member of The Plasmatics. She's not listed as a member on Wikipedia's own page on the band, and AFAIK, the only female member was the singer, Wendy O Williams. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.76.192.200 (talk) 23:29, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
