The Brown Building of Science is the same exact building as the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. This article provides no new information other than the University banner at the bottom. Triangle fire misconceptions

I've removed most of the information on the fire, as it was factually inaccurate. According to reliable sources such as David von Drehle's book Triangle, the fire didn't kill 100 women: it killed 150 people, including men, women, and children. On the other hand, many others (likely around 300) escaped. The exits weren't "all" locked; one probably was, but hundreds of workers escaped via the other available exits. The causes of the deaths are much more convoluted than "they locked all the doors and left girls to die". --NellieBly (talk) 02:09, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Is it "Triangle Shirtwaist" or "Triangle Waist"?

Correction: February 16, 2011

An article on Tuesday about an artist who is commemorating the 100th anniversary of a famous factory fire in Manhattan misstated, in some editions, the name of the company that owned the factory. It was the Triangle Waist Company, not the Triangle Shirtwaist Company. An Inside The Times capsule summary also misstated the name.
