This page needs the map of Florida that shows where the city is.

Also, the populations are incorrect.

Biographies in the article

edit

If you will look at WP:CITIES you will discover that "notables" aren't mentioned at all. They have crept in. The whole idea in an article is to focus, not on individuals, but on the city itself in these articles. Having a breathless, running inventory of someone's biography who is now outside the city, is hardly conducive to focusing readers attention on the city. They did not come to the article to read about notable people who were born or lived here. And certainly not to "catch up" on his running resume, which they can go to the person's article to discover.

Extra junk about people who no longer live here is distracting to the Brooksville article. Interested people can go to the notable's article.Student7 (talk) 13:17, 23 January 2009 (UTC) Article states Brooksville has elevation of 402 feet. Highest point in Florida is Britton Hill in Walton County at 345 feet. Highest point in Hernando County is unnamed peak SE of Brooksville at 270 feet.Evankeeler (talk) 13:20, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sorry you are wrong with your comments above calling our historical figures "junk". One of the most interesting things about Brooksville is the historical characters that once lived here, the dead and those that have moved away are certainly more interesting than the living. In fact, I did come to the article to discover Brooksville's historical heritage which is a major draw to the small Southern town. Seems like you would like to erase the past, tear down the landmarks and pave over the history of the region so it will resemble the soulless asphalt jungle to the South. Sorry you would be in the minority, people in Brooksville value the history of the area and the historical figures that once lived here as well.

Elevation

edit

402 ft cannot be right. Britton Hill is the highest point of Florida and its elevation is 345 ft. Regards, Dionysos1988 (talk) 00:54, 7 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
