"The station closed in April 2017 for a number of weeks whilst refurbishment works took place. This has provided the station with updated facilities."
Unsuccessful in finding a reference for this. Although the car park was temporarily reduced in size in April 2017, for substation work, there is no evidence I can find for a station closure, which I imagine would have been reported.
